To My Uncle Larry..... Pt 5

Well Uncle Larry, your Foreskins got one today.

My hat is off to you.

I have to admit Washington came into this game ready.

They were determined to win.

I can't be mad at that.

My Cowboys on the other hand looked liked shit.

But oh well.

They are Division Champs.

They do have a first round bye.

They also have home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

So, they played this game exactly how they should have. It was a meaningless game played against a meaningless team.

Be advised.... If the 'Boys make it to the Superbowl, I will be coming to Maryland for the Superbowl party that my Aunty (your wife) said she was going to throw. So I expect a huge rendition of Hail to the Cowboys the minute I step off the plane at BWI.

But if they don't make it that far, they still got further than your Foreskins!!!!

Well another year has come and gone. My Grandma told me once that the older you get, the faster time flies.


Ain't that the damn truth?


I guess it is time for me to make some resolutions for the upcoming year.


So here goes my resolutions.


I would like to get to the gym more, because my midsection is not what it was a year ago. But we will have to see what my work schedule looks like. I would like to go back to school and work on my Masters this year, but again I have to see what my work schedule looks like. I also would like to finish the book I started to write 6 months ago. (I only have written maybe a half chapter so far), but again it depends on my work schedule.


If yall have not noticed a pattern in this post yet, I think maybe I should come on out with it. I pattern my whole life around my job, or trying to find another job that is better than my current job . (My current position is just that, a "job". Even though I have been doing it for the past 5 years. I really don't have a career. Yet.)


I still thank the lord up high every morning for my "job", because it is paying my bills, and keeping my head above water. But I feel that it is time for me to change directions. I am a very smart young man. I have been reading and writing since the tender age of 3, thanks to my moms starting me out early. I even skipped 1st grade and went straight to 2nd. So there is no limit to what I can accomplish if I am in the right situation. So far I don't think that I have been in the right situation. I have made a lot of very stupid mistakes that has kept me away from the right situation.
But hey, I might be smart,but I am also very human.


I have a few ideas on where I were I want to be. I have a few ideas on how I am going to get there. But as of this moment all I have are ideas.


My resolution for the upcoming year is not to get rich. I don't want to be rich. I would like to be comfortable. My resolution for this year is not to kill myself in the gym to get a body like a pro football player. I no longer have a 6 pack, but from the looks I get from the ladies every time I step out... well... let me stop right there. (I am still happily married. I love you Baby!!) Back on subject.


My resolution for this year does not include something outrageous like climbing Mt Everest, or sky diving, swimming the English Channel or bungee jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge.


My resolutions for 2008 are pretty simple.


I am going to try to be a better man. I am going to try to get that career that I deserve. I am going to try to limit the mistakes I make that are keeping the right doors locked that I need opened to start that career. I am going to try to enjoy the life that God has blessed me with, instead of bitching about the life that I wish I had. I also am going to start seeing the beauty of the world around me instead of focusing on the negatives.


I am also going to take the advice of Tina Turner and Maya Angelou, (see my sidebar on Inspirational Qoutes by Inspirational People).


All of my resolutions for this upcoming year are not that far fetched. I think I can accomplish everything I resolve to do in 2008.

But if I fail on something, there is always 2009.


God willing.

The Bush Legacy....What?!

What will the Bush Legacy be? How will America remember it's 43rd president? Ed Henry, a journalist on CNN.com asked this question in his article about Jr.'s last year in the big seat in the big office in the big white house on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I guess that depends on who you ask. But if I were asked, I don't think Jr. and the people pictured in the above illustration would like what I had to say.

Why you may ask?

Where do I begin?

Well, Dirty Red how about at the beginning?

O.K.

1. The 2000 elections.
The majority of America voted for Al Gore. But thanks to Jr's brother down in Florida, and the United States Supreme Court, Jr. was crowned king of America. This became known in all "hoods" in America as the biggest jack move known to man. The only man in U.S. HIS-story to jack a whole damn country.

2. 911.
Do I blame Jr. for the towers falling? No!! There are a lot of conspiracy nuts out there that will disagree with me, but I don't think the White House had anything to do with it.
I do think that his reaction on that day was very strange. He could have showed a little more emotion to me. I don't like how he let the Saudis fly out of the country when Americans where grounded and stuck like chuck at every airport in the country.

3. The war in Afghanistan.
To me this war was justified. If the reports were correct, Bin Laden is guilty as hell. But again, if the reports were correct.

4. The war in Iraq.
A total fabrication and lie from the beginning to now. I don't think I need to say any more on that subject.

5. The wire tapping of American Citizens.
Well, I believe that this has been going on since J. Edgar Hoover was diddling with little boys. But at least the government had the decency to keep it somewhat hidden. In comes Jr., and what was the best known secret in Washington, became the the most known blunder in Washington.

6.Hurricane Katrina.
Just the name says it all.

7. Alberto Gonzales.
I don't have enough room on this page to start on this guy.

8. Dick Cheney
I believe that he shot someone in the face, and the man that he shot apologized to him for being in the path of the shotgun that was used to shoot him. Now that is definitely Gangsta!

9. Donald Rumsfield
The "architect" of the Iraq mess.

10. Now this has nothing to do with Jr., but it did happen on his watch.
All the Republican scandals. Which one do I start with?

11.Karl Rove
The genius behind Jr.'s political successes.

12. Haliburton and Blackwater
Billions of dollars have gone to these companies and for what?

I can go on and on and on.
So what should his legacy be?
Is this the type of President that all of Americans can be proud of?

What has this President did to benefit the people that put him in office?

Who has he helped?

Hmmmm...

People are losing their homes at an alarming rate due to sub-prime mortgages given out by crooked mortage companies looking for a profit.
The American education system is a joke.
Gas prices are through the roof.
Insurance companies are scamming people left and right.
More companies are getting U.S. tax breaks to move their operations overseas.
The lie that is Iraq is costing U.S. taxpayers a whooping $4,000,000,000,000 (that is billion with a B) a month.
Our biggest trading partner China is sending us poisoned goods.
The United States no longer has a good foreign standing.
And last but not least the United States is so far in debt that Jr. is asking other countries to buy some of our debt!!
All of this and more has happened on the current President's watch.

So how will HIS-story write Jr.'s legacy?

Is it right to blame one man for all the problems that America is faced with today?

No, I don't think that is fair.

However, if a sports team has a losing season, then the coach that was supposed to be the leader of the team gets the blame and he losses his job.
There are no glowing reports on what went right(if anything did go right since the team did have a losing season) while the coach was in charge. The players don't get the blame of why the season went down the toilet. There are no ceremonies. There is a press conference and the ex-coach gives a speech and apologizes to the fans for letting them down and he thanks the owner for the opportunity to lead his organization and he leaves with no fan-fare. (He is usually escorted off the teams property under guard).

So do you think we will get an apology from our current "coach"? Do you think he will apologize for letting all of us down? Do you think he will thank us for giving him the opportunity to lead our "team?"

Well, I would not hold my breath waiting and neither should anyone else.

Don't believe the Hype!!!


There is a gigantic misconception going around AmeriKKKa these days that is meant to demean and degrade the way the world sees Black Men. This misconception is that there are more Black Men in prison than in college. Well, this is as my wife's late great Aunt used to say, "a black-ass lie".
The main people spreading this rumor is the Amerikkkan media.
I always thought that the Amerikkkan media started this rumor. So I refused to believe what was being broadcast on CNN and Faux News 24 hours a day.
Until I heard a sound bite from presidential hopeful John Edwards. He was going on about how poverty needs to be addressed in this country and how this is the main problem for all the crime in the good 'ole US of A. Well, it doesn't take a scientist on the government's payroll to see that. To me that is common sense. If I need money to feed my family and keep a roof over my head, and I can't find a job that pays enough to do that, well... you know what comes next.
I am not saying that I condone doing anything illegal, but I understand what would drive someone to it. Whoever said money is not everything, has never been broke.
Anyway, Mr Edwards starts talking about how the Black Man is facing extinction in this country. He says the now famous line that "there are more black men in prison than in college".
Well I started thinking about that, so I decided to do a little research. This is what I found. this is an article that was written by Michael Dobbs from the Washington Post.
"According to 2005 Census Bureau statistics, the male African-American population of the United States aged between 18 and 24 numbered 1,896,000. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, 106,000 African-Americans in this age group were in federal or state prisons at the end of 2005. See table 10 of this report. If you add the numbers in local jail (measured in mid-2006), you arrive at a grand total of 193,000 incarcerated young Black males, or slightly over 10 percent.
According to the same census data, 530,000 of these African-American males, or twenty eight percent, were enrolled in colleges or universities (including two-year-colleges) in 2005. That is five times the number of young black men in federal and state prisons and two and a half times the total number incarcerated. If you expanded the age group to include African-American males up to thirty or thirty five, the college attendees would still outnumber the prisoners.

So, I got to thinking.
If I can find this information in about 30 minutes by using Google, why can't a United States Presidential hopeful, with millions of dollars in his coffers and thousands of people on his payroll find this same information?
But wait it gets better. Here is another article I found by using Google. This is posted on a site called Infoplease.

So....
Where is Senator Edwards and all the other socially conscious people in this country getting their information?
I think I can answer that.....
Faux News, CNN, MSNBC, and all the other "news"outlets. In other words, The Amerikkkan Media!!!
I know that the number of Black Men in prison is staggering. Black Men do outnumber all other races in prison. It is a problem within our communities and our "Justice" (or is it the Just-Us) Department, and it needs to be addressed. But why fudge the numbers? What is to be gained by lying? If you were white in this country, and you heard a honorable ex Senator and Presidential Hopeful make a claim like that, what would you think?
You would probably cross the street if you saw 2 or 3 young black men coming towards you. You would lock your car doors if you happen to drive through a black neighborhood. You would design a T-shirt with the logo of a Black Baby with the comment under the picture, "Lock up all black babies, before they grow up to be criminals." (remember that from a few years ago?) You would disown your daughter if she brought a Black Man home to meet you. You would blame a Black Man for kidnapping and killing your kids to cover up your own crime.
Do I need to give anymore examples?
I said it once before on one of my first posts when I started this blog.
The AmeriKKKan media is a Black Mans biggest enemy.
And I think that I have proved my point.

Habla Espanol?


This shit here really pissed me off. Don't get me wrong this is not going to be a racial rant. This is going to be a political rant.
So brace yourselves....
The Rethuglicans hosted a debate on the Spanish T.V. network Uni vision the other night. There is nothing wrong with that. Spanish speaking people are rapidly becoming the majority. Their main topic was illegal immigration. Again nothing wrong with that. Illegal immigration is a very hot topic now a days. I guess the Rethuglicans felt they need to pander to the Hispanic population. Again, there is nothing wrong with that. In the immortal words of Too Short, "Get in Where You Fit In".
What got me upset with this whole Spanish Debate thing was this......
How many times have these assholes refused to address or even attend a debate , function, dinner, car-wash, or lemon aid stand that was sponsored by somebody black?
How many times has the NAACP, Congressional Black Caucus, Urban League and any other black themed organization asked these motherfuckers to come and sit down with them and talk about issues that concern Black Americans? How many times has the tired excuse of 'scheduling conflicts' been given?
But now all of a sudden these bastards can go on a network that is specifically targeted towards the Hispanic population and debate in a language that not one of these fake motherfuckers speak?
Am I the only one of the 36 million blacks in this country to get offended at that?
Where the majority of us (blacks)not born here?
Don't all of us speak English?
So what the fuck is the problem, Mit "I believe In Jesus" Romney?
Does my vote not count Rudy "Save the World from Terrorists" Giuliani?
What about you, Pastor Reverend Doctor Huckaby?
I guess that my vote is not important to you, huh, John "POW" McCain?
And you, Fred "Law and Order"Thompson, I actually liked you, but I guess I was getting your TV persona mixed up with the real you. Or was I?
But I guess my people have not been through enough in this country for all of you to realize that we are still here. Or is that the problem? We are still here. All 36 million of us. And we are not going anywhere.
So to all my brothers and sisters that vote Rethuglican.....
I really think you need to rethink your loyalties.
I am not endorsing the Dumocrats, but hey, at least they do talk a good game and put on a good show for those of us out here struggling in these fields.

Now Hiring Young Black Males. See Your Local Grand Wizard for information!


I was reading a post that Jason Whitlock wrote about the Sean Taylor murder tonight, and I actually agreed with him. He said that Mr. Taylor was killed by the Black KKK. This might sound ridiculous to some, but it is true. Blacks have killed more Blacks in the past 30 or 40 years than the KKK did in it's entire sad history. We are exterminating ourselves at an alarming rate, and no one seems to care. There really is no need for a white KKK any more, because young black males have taken the black KKK to a whole new level.
Example # 1 ....
A childhood friend of mine was killed 2 weeks ago by a "number 1 male". ( number 1 male is a slang "politically correct"term for young black male that the police in Baltimore use)He was shot in the face close range by a 16 year old, while his two partners (17 and 19 years old) watched. My friend was 34 years old. He was married with 3 kids.
Example # 2 ....
A couple of weeks ago at a strip mall here in Dallas, 2 "number 1 males" were video taped shooting at each other in between some clothes racks. Of course they missed each other, but they did manage to hit and kill an innocent bystander.
Example # 3 ....
A minister was at a corner gas station in a suburb of Dallas when he saw a "number 1 male" going into the store with his pants down around his knees. The minister approached the guy, and told him to pull his damn pants up. The "number 1 male" proceeded to pull out a gun, cock it and aim at the minister. The only thing that saved the minister's life was a car pulled into the parking lot. I guess the young monster didn't want any witnesses, so he got in a car, (with 3 other "number 1 males") and sped out of the parking lot. According to witnesses all the occupants of the car, including the gunman were in their teens.
This is only 3 examples of the thousands that can be talked about every day.
I have no idea why young black males hate each other this way. Hate is the only word that can describe this inhuman behavior. What is it about being black that cause people (including ourselves)to hate us so much? You know it is bad when you hate yourself so much that you want to kill anyone that reminds you of you.
Is it the poison that is being passed off as rap music?
Is it the "mindless entertainment" that is being passed off as video games?
Is it the violence that is being shown in theatres, or on TV?
Is it the history of discrimination this country is known for?
Or is it bad parenting?
Or maybe it is a combination of all of the above.
Can we really get mad at a white person that crosses the street if a group of "number 1 males" are approaching him/her?
Am I wrong for getting a little nervous when I go into the "hood"?
Why is it that our black "leaders" can stage a protest outside the justice department, but they say nothing about the violence on the streets of our neighborhoods? Why do they raise hell when a white person says the word nigger, and demand loudly that an apology be given, but they stay sinfully quiet when a 16 year old kills another 16 year old 10 blocks from the " rally" they held at the justice department?
If you kill the male in any species, the species dies.
That is what is happening here in AmeriKKKa.
Young Black Males are killing each other for no reason other than hate. This is exactly what the "original" KKK was doing to black males 60 or 70 years ago.
I think that the "original" KKK should hold their next rally in Harlem. Their membership would probably triple. Black males are already killing each other for nothing. So why not give them a cause?
Maybe the "original" KKK can go to the HSBC's and start their own Greek Chapter. At least then the killing would be sanctioned and controlled.

AmeriKKKa the Beautiful


I was asked at work today why I spell America with 3 K'S instead of the "right" way. I was asked if I associated our government with the KKK. I was asked if I was a racist. I was asked all this by a white dude that reads my blog on the regular. Well, his first 2 questions I was prepared for. His third... well I had to think about that one for a minute.
I am going to answer his 3 questions. Except I am going to start with the last one first.
1. No I am not a racist. Being a racist is ignorant. Not liking someone just because they look different from you or talk different from you or put their drawers on different from you is pure ignorance. I am not an ignorant man. I can get stupid if I have to, but I am far from being ignorant.
There are a lot of things in this country that I do not like. There are a lot of people in this country that I do not like. Black people, White people, Hispanic people. But the reason I don't like these certain individuals has nothing to do with their race. I do not judge a whole ethnic group of people for the actions of one dumb-ass individual.(More Ignorance) It has to do with their character, who they are as human beings. I would be lying if I said I don't see race, because I do. My excuse for that is I only do what my country has taught me to do. My Country has made my race an issue. My Country has made my race a determining factor when it comes to jobs, housing, education,voting, law enforcement, even walking down the street. My Country decided that my skin color (i.e. my race) was a bad thing, I had no voice in any of that. I am not a racist, but I believe My Country is. However, I believe that if anyone walking the earth has a right to be a racist, it is the African American. (But hate kills, and I am not ready to die). All we ever wanted, (correction... all we want), is to be treated fairly. All we want is to be accepted as the beautiful people that we know we are. Not black people, just plain 'ole people.
And for that we are hated.
Go figure.
2. Do I associate my government with the KKK?
Uhhh.... let me think.... Yeah!!!
I believe all of these Ignorant-ass hate and fear spreading groups call themselves "Patriots". They call themselves "God fearing Americans". When I look at pictures of the people running our government, making our laws, deciding what we see on T.V., all I see are these "Patriots". When I hear someone say that some guy is an "All American Boy," I know they are not talking about me, or someone who is dark like me. They are talking about the blond haired, blue eyed guy next to me. When I hear someone talking about the "All American City" they are not talking about Harlem, South East DC, South Philly or even South Dallas. They are talking about the lily white suburbs.
I believe the KKK was started by a group of "patriots" that felt that blacks and every other non white group of people was trying to take over and destroy their country that was given to them by their God. Isn't that the reasoning behind our so called war on Terror? They want to change our way of life? They want to destroy our country by taking away our freedoms? Doesn't that sound a lot like what the KKK was saying when they were lynching black men on the town square?
HMMM....If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck, what the hell is it?
3. Why do I spell America with 3 k's?
Well, I call it like I see it. My country has had it's foot on Black People's necks (Asian Necks, Hispanic Necks) since this country was founded. This country has gotten to be the greatest country on the face of the earth because of Black People, Asian People, Hispanic People and White People. In other words, ALL of it's people. But all the accolades have only gone to the White People. No one ever sees the contributions that all the other races have made to make this country great. Where would America be without the contributions that it's minorities have made? If I go overseas, the people I encounter don't look at me as being a Black American, I am looked at as being an American. Only in the country of my birth is my skin color an issue.
So that is why I spell AmeriKKKa the way I do. That is why I talk the way I do, that is why I live the way I do.
So, (insert name of coworker here),
I hope that I have answered your questions to your satisfaction. If not, well... You must have been hoping for the "All American" answer, and this ain't it.

The Gift That Keeps on Giving




Thanksgiving was yesterday. My wife and I stayed home and enjoyed a quiet evening together. We didn't have anyone over for the spectacular meal my wife prepared because all of our family is back on the East coast. We were just on the East Coast last week so I could bury my father who passed 2 and half weeks ago from complications from Diabetes. (Black men we have to take better care of ourselves!!!! My father was only 57 years young!!!) Anyway I really didn't feel like company, so I am kind relieved that my family is so far away. I told myself that I was not going to write about my fathers death, (Hence the two previous posts)... but thinking about this Holiday, I just couldn't help it.
I have never been one to go crazy over the Holidays, because I grew up in a home where Holidays were just another day. My mom is a devout Jehovah's Witness. My wife loves the holidays though, so I have had to adopt a new understanding of them. I kind of like Thanksgiving. If I were to have a favorite holiday, then Thanksgiving would be it. I really appreciate the fact that friends and family get together just to celebrate the good things in their life. Giving thanks for health, prosperity and family is a very good thing. Even though I know that the Indians (Native Americans) that were displaced and killed during the time this holiday was thought up, probably hate Thanksgiving, but that is a rant for another time.
However....
My problem with Amerikkkan holidays is this. People will go through the whole year f--king people over, abusing their loved ones, hurting and abusing children and elderly people, lying, cheating, stealing and every other foul and vile thing that you could do to a person and all of a sudden for 2 days out of the year,(Christmas and Thanksgiving) they think that all they have to do is give some homeless person a dollar or volunteer at some shelter for a day and all their past transgressions and sins are forgiving. Then the very next day they go back to f--king people over again.That is so fake to me. That is the main reason I hate this time of year. If you are going to be an asshole 363 days a year, I don't see how skipping 2 days to "be good" to your fellow man is going to cancel your reservation for that room in hell with the spectacular views of a fiery lake.
But this is just my views.
There are some people that know that doing good for 2 days out of the year is not going to be quite enough to save you. Two Men I would like to spotlight are Atlanta Falcons Running Back Warrick Dunn and Detroit Pistons Forward Teshawn Prince. These two Black MEN are helping people 365 days a year.
The Warrick Dunn Foundation builds houses for single mothers. The foundation helps the single Moms with financing the homes and they come fully furnished. So far The Warrick Dunn Foundation has helped 69 single mothers and 181 children. (News like this about how some Black men are actually helping their community usually gets overshadowed by news of Britney Spears getting out of a rehab somewhere.)
Teshawn Prince has rebuilt a luxury suite in The Palace of Auburn Hills for children suffering with cancer. This suite was rebuilt with his own money. It gives 16 children and their families a chance to sit on the floor during every home game the Pistons play and watch the team practice before the game. It also allows them to meet the players and the team officials. During the game the kids will watch in the refurbished suite that has a Nintendo WII and the meals are catered especially for the kids. 16 new kids get to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience every Detroit Pistons home game. Mr. Prince picks up the entire tab.
This is the kind of thing that is starting to change my mind about Thanksgiving. I am thankful that there are some Men in our community that are trying to make a difference. I am thankful to have proof that the Devil is a liar, and not everything in my community is bad. I am thankful that I am healthy enough and have the opportunities and self motivation to improve my current situation so that I can someday emulate these 2 brothers example. I am Thankful that I have the support and love of my wife, my family and her family. (God bless my father's soul). I am thankful that I am smart and strong enough to get past the bullshit that threatens to take my sanity everyday. And last but not least I am thankful to be alive. Life is a very precious thing and it should not be taken for granted. The average life span these days for a young black man in AmeriKKKA is 25 years old. 25!!! I have surpassed that age by a decade and I am hoping for about 5 or 6 more. My fathers death at such a young age has hit me hard. But what can I say, he did live a good life.
So this post is dedicated to my Pops, Charles Wesley King. January 26, 1951 to November 8 2007.

It is time for us to say "Man, you are own your own"
















Next month the self proclaimed "King of R&B" R. Kelly is going to be performing at the American Airlines Center here in Dallas. TI is facing serious Fed time over weapons violations. Michael "Wacko"Jackson is trying to make a comeback and 4 (count them 1, 2, 3, 4) big name rappers were in New York courts last week (all on the same day) to get arraigned on several charges a piece that could get them some serious jail time.
Now my problem is this....
When do we as a people stand up and stop defending these stupid ass Negros that do stupid shit and get caught? When do we as a people start distancing ourselves from these idiots? Why do we still give these fools the benefit of the doubt, hoping and praying that there could be some kind of racism involved? Why do we still treat these buffoons and clowns as role models?
I don't understand this madness.
R Kelly sexually assaults a 14 year old girl, urinates on her, (I saw the Tape. That is that Negro) and he still hasn't faced justice and he is still selling out concert venues across the country. Michael Jackson goes to trial on yet another child molestation charge, and black people still rush to defend him. TI's dumb ass gets caught buying MACHINE GUNS with SILENCERS, and our excuse for his stupidity is that he was set up because he is a young rich black man. 4 big name rappers: Busta Rhymes, Remy Ma, Lil Wayne and Ja Rule are in the same court on the same day to get arraigned on several charges of illegal behavior, and we say they are being targeted unfairly.
WTF?
Are these not grown ass people? The white man didn't force these fools to do any of the things they are accused of doing. When will we as a people wash our hands of all this negativity that our "role models and icons" put themselves into? When will we demand that idiots like these stand up and answer for their dumbness instead of rallying behind them under the false guise of racism?
Black professionals in this country are under a microscope, there is no question about that. But common sense tells me if I know someone is watching me, I need to walk a straight line when I am in a position to be seen. Common sense tells me to cut ties with any one that I know has a "I don't care" attitude. Common sense tells me that if I know I am doing something I don't need to be doing, either I do it by myself ( I will not snitch on myself) or I need to make sure there are no cameras around. Common sense tells me if I was a rapper, to not brag about all the triggers I have pulled or how much "endo" I smoke everyday.
We need to stop rewarding stupidity and negativity. We need to say enough is enough to these fools, and make them accountable for their actions. And we need to educate our kids that these idiots are not people they need to emulate.
But I have to admit that it is easy to sit here in my office, in my suburban home writing about what we as a people need to do. It is easy to put the blame on someone else when I am just as guilty of trying to give these idiots the benefit of the doubt. But the truth is I am tired of just talking. I am ready to start doing. Just because these people are young and black does not mean that we have to support them. So....
I pledge to start taking a more proactive stand when I am out in the community and I see something that I know is not right. I have already stopped some young brothers and explained to them the meaning behind the word "NIGGA", I have stopped a group of young boys and told them to pull their damn pants up, and I am taking more of an active role in my 7 year old nephews education since his biological father ain't worth a ripped, wet food stamp. My steps are small right now, but hopefully they will get bigger as time goes on.

Who am I to judge?




This is going to be a touchy subject for some of the readers of my lil 'ole blog, but yall will get over it.



I was asked the other day about what I feel about Gay marriage. I replied I don't feel anything about Gay marriage. I could care less if two men or two women want to be together. It is not my business. I know what I like, and I know that my likes or dislikes will not be like everyone else's.



I happen to like women.



A lot.



Maybe too much.




So in saying that, let me continue.



If two people of the same sex want to be together, (if they are two consenting adults), then who am I to judge them? I know what the Bible says about homosexuality, and I believe the Bible. But the Bible also says that he who is without sin should cast the first stone. I can only speak for myself here, but I know I sin a lot. I have to ask for forgiveness everyday for something stupid that I have done. I know that when my time comes to stand before God, I will have a lot of explaining to do about why I did what I did, when I did what I did. So I do not have time to worry about someone else.



The way I see it is, if you are Gay, then you are the one that has to stand before God and explain to him why if you are a man, you like either bending down in front of another man or bending over in front of another man. Or in the case of a woman, you have to explain why you perform oral sex on a woman or like it performed on you by another woman.I don't have to worry about that, so why should I treat you any different from anyone else? I have a lot more things in my life that need my undivided attention than worrying about what 2 adults are doing in private.



My problem with the whole Gay thing is this.



The so called "down low" Gay. I cannot stand someone that tries to hide who he/she is. I have no problem with a person being Gay. I have a problem with someone that tries to hide their Gayness. I can play ball with a Gay dude, I can go to happy hour with a Gay dude, I can even go to a club with a Gay dude, (a straight club) as long as I know that dude is Gay. I don't want to be out with one of my fellas, and we are drinking together, and all of a sudden he tells me that he has a crush on me. That is grounds for an ass whooping.



For Real.



Don't be ashamed of who you are.




In my humble opinion, if you feel that you have to hide what you do, then something is telling you that what you are doing is not right.


I also cannot stand the "girlie" Gays. If you were born a man, with 2 Balls and a Kane, then be a fucking man.
I cannot stand the flaming Gays. The same thing goes for the bull-dyke lesbians.
This is something I don't understand.
In every Gay relationship there is always the "girlie" man and the "manly" man. In lesbian relationships there is always the "manly" female, and the feminine female. What is that telling you? "Girlie" man, "manly" man. "Manly" female, Feminine female. In other words, there is always someone playing the mans' role, and someone playing the woman's role. Is that not the way God intended us to be, Man and Woman? So why don't Gay people face reality and do what is natural?

I do not understand the whole Gay mentality. I do not see what is attractive about another man.


But that is me. And this is my opinion. Not everyone is going to agree with my opinion, ( ask me if I am going to lose any sleep tonight).....
I do not have the room to condemn anyone else's behavior. I can only worry about the example that I set in AmeriKKKa.

I guess that means that I am "normal", whatever the hell "normal" is.

Man, be real with yourself and us!!!!



Here is a story about another big named celebrity that let his true feelings come out when he thought that no one was listening.
It seems that America's favorite bounty hunter DOGG was taped calling his son's black girlfriend a nigger. He was taped telling his son that he needs to quit that nigger girl and just leave her alone. I don't know if those were his exact words, because I have not heard the tape. I do not want to hear the tape. I don't need to hear what this man thinks of people whose skin looks like mine. His opinion doesn't matter to me. What matters to me is that now I and everybody that has heard about this guy finally knows who and what he is.
Of course he made the rounds on the right radio talk shows and the right newspapers and tried to clean up what he said. ' I apologize to all the people that might have been hurt by my words. I am not a racist. I love black people. I respect the contributions that they have made to our country. yada yada yada'....
Yeah Dogg I believe you man. I believe that when you were younger you were part of a racist all white motorcycle gang. I believe that you went to prison for some of the things that you and your posse did. I believe that I have never seen a person of color on your show that was not being hunted down like a dog and handcuffed. I also believe in the Tooth Fairy, Santa Clause and werewolves . So you expect me and everyone else that has seen your show and the interviews you gave were you were talking about your past to believe that since you are a big time celebrity now, being interviewed by Larry King and all, that your views have changed?
Come on man. I might not be the brightest bulb in the room, but I ain't exactly that dim either.
Be real man. You cannot stand the fact that your son, the Doggs own boy, could fall for one of us darkies huh? Is this an embarrassment for you? Has your old redneck, ignorant, meth smoking biker buddies called to revoke your biker jacket? You can tell me man. I understand. I think I would have a fit if I found out my son was dating your daughter.
So why apologize?
Were you not saying exactly what you feel? So which part is bullshit? The so called heartfelt "I love black people" apology, or your true feelings? The way I figure it, you are lying about something. Either you really don't want your son dating a black girl, or you really are not a racist. My bet is you don't want your son dating Shameka. (But that is only my observation).
The way I was brought up is, if you feel that what you will say or do to a person will hurt them, demean them, or in anyway devalue their worth as a fellow human being, you keep your mouth shut. In other words, DOGG if what you say or do will force you to apologize later, then you don't need to say or do what ever it is you were going to say or do. You follow me?
So why apologize?
This is still Amerryica. Freedom of speech. The land of the free. Free Press and all that jazz.
Be proud of who you are. If you a mullet wearing, leather in the summer wearing, fake Indian medallion wearing, card carrying member of whatever biker gang you went to prison for redneck, then be proud of that!! Don't give no fake bullshit apologies!!!
Don't piss on my back and tell me it's raining!! Come out of the closet DOGG!!
I for one am glad to finally know what you think of my people. I have more respect for a man that let's the world knows how he feels, than a BITCH that hides behind a bullshit-ass apology when he gets caught with his pants down. Be real with yourself man. Show some dignity and respect for once.
Besides it ain't like you are going to lose any money behind all this. We all see that Don Imus got his show back. Bill O' Reilly is still spewing his bullshit. Rush Limbaugh is still popping his illegal prescription pills, and Fox Noise is still raking in millions of viewers every day.
This will all blow over in about 2 or 3 days.

Why are Black Women So Difficult to be With?




My Coworker and I had this conversation the other day at work. I wanted to blog about it as soon as I got off work that day, but things came up as they always do so.... Anyway better late than never huh?
This is the guy I blogged about in an earlier post... You might remember, the republican, married to a white women, raised out in the sticks, yeah that guy. Anyway, we were talking about interracial relationships and he told me why he married a white woman.
Side note..... I do not care about why he married a white woman. As long as they truly love each other and are happy, living productive lives, does it really matter what race she is?
However, since this was our topic for the day, I guess he felt the need to "come out", for lack of a better term. He told me that he has dated a few black women in his past and he just wasn't feeling them. He told me that they were temperamental, controlling, and manipulative. He told me he felt more at ease with white women. He told me if something happened to his marriage he would not even look at a black woman. Well that is his preference, so what could I say? I kind of understand why he feels like this, and I kind of don't.
Me, I love black women. I have been known to cross over to the Latinas in my younger and (single) days but.... I digress.....
Back on topic...
I love the challenge that black women give. I love the sassiness. I love the attitude. If a black man or any man for that matter, is lucky enough to find a black woman that loves him unconditionally he has found himself a ride or die chick. He has found a woman that will support him if he has a million dollars, or if he lives in his mommas basement. I love the strength of black women. Any woman that can put up with everything that our women have to put up with on a daily basis, is in my opinion, a Super Woman. I know that black women can be very opinionated and demanding, but that is because of the stupid and weak shit that we (black men) do. Let me explain.
We put a lot on black women. A survey said that 4 in 6 children born to black parents are born out of wedlock. Which means that 4 in 6 times the child is going to be raised by the mother. Which also means that the mother has to be the father, sole provider, the giver of discipline, the care giver and whatever else role that we as black men are supposed to be doing. I believe that God put everyone on this earth to play a specific part. Everyone has a role they are meant to play. I think that in these times men and women have forgotten what their role is.
Women are not supposed to raise kids alone. There is nothing that a woman can teach a boy about being a man. Just like there is nothing that a man can teach a girl about being a woman. It takes two.
I believe this is why that some men think that black women are so difficult to have a relationship with. We force black women to play the role that the black man is supposed to play. We put our women in a position were they have to be the only one to provide discipline, love and financial support to our children. We force them to fight and be hostile just so they can survive. We put our women out in harms way because there are some of us that are too weak to stand up and be the man that God made us to be.
Here is where the difficult part comes in to play. A black woman has had to fight and scratch to take care of everything that a black man should be taking care of.... And then a man comes into into her life that knows what his role is and he expects her to stop what she has been doing her whole adult life and revert to the role he thinks she should be in. Of course there is going to be some hostility. Your damn right there is going to be some attitude. There is going to be some manipulation and control issues. How could there not be?
This woman has been playing his part all her adult live and he expects her to change all of a sudden to suit him and his needs?
This woman has been hurt and betrayed by punk-ass little boys all her life and we expect her to automatically slip back into her part when we come along?
Please...
If the shoe were on the other foot how would we feel?
Everyone on this earth has a place that they are supposed to be in. Until we (black women and black men) find our place and settle into it, the misconception that the Original Woman, the Queen of the Universe, is controlling, manipulative and temperamental will not change.

My House Negro of the Day

This is my House Negro of the day.

Sorry Field, I had to bite your saying for this one.

The negro pictured above is the first black U.S. Attorney for Louisiana, Mr. Donald Washington. He is the fool that decided that the white boys involved in the whole Jena fiasco should not be charged with a hate crime for all the mess that they started. Let's keep in mind that nobody would have ever heard of Jena, Louisiana if the white boys at that school had not hung nooses from that white tree. None of this would have made headline news if the black boys involved in this would have been treated fairly. No one has ever said that the black boys were innocent. They did beat a white boy down after he offended their manhood and their heritage with racial insults. They did what any group of teens would have done in any city anywhere in America.

If anyone goes to Little Italy in New York City and stands on the corner and yells " I hate Wops!" What do you think is going to happen? He will not make it out of Manhattan alive. If you go to China Town in San Francisco and start throwing around racial insults to the Chinese people that you see, what do you think will happen? You might end up on a plate next to some egg foo cat. So yes, the fight that those boys got into was nothing more than a little teenage skirmish. (Even though it was racially motivated.) It should have been handled in Juvenile court, since all the participants were Juveniles, and the assault did take place at a high school.


But we all know that this did not happen did it?


The Juveniles were charged as adults by a ignorant and racist-ass DA and an equally racist-ass grand jury.

One of the boys was convicted and sent to jail by a racist all white jury that wanted to prove that even in 2007, that in the town of Jena, Louisiana if you are black, you need to stay in your place. Isn't that what the DA meant when he told the black boys involved that he could "end their lives with the stroke of a pen?"

Now this is when the house negro pictured above should had stepped in. Because if my limited knowledge of the law rank structure is correct, a US Attorney out ranks a District Attorney
everyday, all day. But as we all know he did not. When asked why he did not intervene in this case from the very beginning by the honorable Congresswoman Shiela Jackson Lee, this was his reply.....

“I was also offended, I too am an African-American,” “I did intervene, I did engage the district attorney. At the end of the day, there are only certain things that the United States attorney can do.”

What? You mean to tell me that this is the best response that this negro could give? What the hell did the people of Louisiana elect this weak, spineless bitch to do? His job is, I believe, is to uphold the law in his state correct? His job is supposed to be to punish those who abuse the innocent is it not?

What part of this case was fair and impartial? The uproar that resulted from all this was not about releasing some boy from jail over a crime we all knew he was guilty of. The uproar was because this boy was not granted the same rights his white accusers were granted. It was about Justice for all. The law is supposed to be color blind, but we all know it is not. And for a black man, in one of the most racist states in this country, (past and present) to stand by and let this injustice go by unpunished, when he is in a position to grab his nuts and stop it, is an insult to not only us as a people but to the whole Judicial system in the state of Louisiana. WTF is wrong with this negro?


So Mr. Donald Washington I hereby declare that you are the recipient of my first Major Sell Out Award. I hope you enjoy your short lived status as the first black US Attorney for the State of
Louisiana. Because if the people that voted you in that historic position, has any sense, you will not be around after the next general election.


But I guess you can always go work for the District Attorney of Jena, since it seems you are in his pocket anyway.

We can't win them all

My team got straight stomped Sunday. I usually post something when they win, so I figure it would be kinda hypocritical not to post something when they loose. After all, they are humans, right? They are entitled to lose sometime, right? What team (besides the 1972 Dolphins) have ever went undefeated? So it just would not be right for the Cowboys to beat down every team they play this year. You have to give the little guys some kind of hope, right? I can say that they didn't have to lose so bad though. That was kind of embarrassing. Especially since they were here at home.But any way..... It is only the 6th week. There is still plenty of football to play.

Side Note....


Do not expect a "lets keep hope alive" post every time they loose. I don't like when my team constantly comes in 2nd.


Because everyone knows that 2nd place in anything just means that you are the first person(or team) to lose.

And who likes losing?

The good Wife Guide




This is an article that I ran across while I was surfing the net. Let me make something clear....
I do not agree with everything that is printed here, but I do agree with some of the things here. I will explain later. Anyway I know that the women that read my blog will have some things to say in the comment section, so please do comment.

Keep in mind that this article was written back in 1955. I cannot see my grandmother doing any of this shit. She was a hell raiser. This must have been only in white homes, because I cannot see a sista going along with this. It just goes to show how how different our two cultures are.

So read on and I will add my 2 cents at the end.


The Good Wife's Guide
From Housekeeping Monthly, 13 May, 1955.


1. Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have be thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they get home and the prospect of a good meal is part of the warm welcome needed.
2. Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.
3. Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.
4.Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives. Run a dust cloth over the tables.
5. During the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering to his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.
6. Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet.
7. Be happy to see him.
8. Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.
9. Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first - remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours.
10. Don't greet him with complaints and problems.
11. Don't complain if he's late for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through at work.

Now.... If women were like this in today's world... Damn! Doesn't this sound like the Twilight Zone?


I know I would feel invincible if my wife were even close to being like this. I wonder if women actually were like this in the '50s? I cannot imagine coming home to a woman that followed these guidelines.


The women's Lib people would probably have a heart attack if this was written in 2007. Can you imagine the Talk shows doing a discussion on this subject?


But I guess all Husbands out there in the real world can read this and wish that this was their wife.

It takes a team










This morning before I made my daily trek to work, I made the mistake of putting some info on my blog that was not correct. I have since realized my mistake and deleted that post.
The mistake I made was that I didn't review my facts before I started typing. Blame it on the lack of sleep or just plain laziness, I don't know.
Anyway, I posted that my team, "America's Team", the Dallas Cowboys, had lost last night. It was a post called "To my Uncle Larry pt 3" yada yada yada.
Well anyway, I turned the T.V. off after my man Romo threw his fourth Interception, because I thought that the game was over at that point. Well, that was my first mistake. I should have fought the ZZZ's and kept watching, but I always have to get up early so I said forget it and went to sleep.
So this morning, after my shower and my daily get my mind right for the everyday bullshit routine, I went straight to my computer, logged in and came here and added my "Uncle Larry" post before I checked the scores. I already assumed that the 'Boys lost, because they were playing very, very poorly, (especially Romo, but hey everyone is entitled to a bad night.) I also anticipated the phone call I would get later on from my Uncle, so I wanted to beat him to the punch. My second Mistake.
Well, I said what I had to say on the post, logged off and proceeded to leave for work. All I heard on the radio was the unheard of before comeback by the Cowboys, and the 53 yard field goal by my man Kin-Folk.
So after work I came straight home logged in and deleted that post.

Some of my best friends are white....

One of my coworkers and I had a very interesting conversation at work today. I like working with this cat because we talk about any and everything. He is a die hard Republican and I do not give my allegiance to any party. He is a country boy and I was born and raised in the inner city. He is married to a white woman and my wife is a straight up sista. It may sound like we do not have any thing in common, but we do. (Yes this guy is black)


Any way the convo we engaged in today was about race. I told him that the commercials that we see everyday on T.V. are not a real representation of the way things are in America. I told him if you want to find out the real story about race in America, watch all the popular sitcoms. Let me explain....


Almost every commercial that you see on your 50 inch plasma shows someone of African descent kicking it with a bunch of people of European descent. There may be 1 or sometimes 2 minorities (blacks) surrounded by a group of the majority(whites). Everyone in the commercial is laughing and having a good time. I have no problem with that, because we are all Americans, and we should all be represented. However, the commercials put on the illusion that blacks and whites live together, work together and play together, which we do not. They try to paint the picture that here in the good 'ole US of A, we are all one big happy family, which we are not.


I have a couple of white friends, and sometimes I go out and hang with them. I think everyone should have a couple of friends of a different race because it helps bridge the gap between the races. This is how we learn about each other and put an end to all the negative stereotypes that are out there about the races. But even though I have white friends, I know that they do not see the America that I see, and I do not see the America that they see, but that is the subject for another post.


None of my white friends live in my part of Dallas. None of my white friends play in my part of Dallas. The only thing we do is work together. At the end of the day, I get on the interstate going south, and they get on the interstate going north. On the occasion that we decide to hang together we have to meet each other half way.


When we hang out most of the time I am the only black guy surrounded by 1 or 2 white guys. We all get those looks like, what is he doing with them, or what are they doing with him. (from black people and white people) I do not know if they notice it or not, but I do. But I ignore the ignorance, because these guys are cool.


We always end up having a good time together, but at the end of the night, I get on the interstate going south, and they get on the interstate going north. "Peace man. Drive safe. I will see you Monday at the office."


That is nothing like the happy go lucky commercials that you see all day everyday on your 50 inch plasma, huh?


However the sitcoms that come on every night paint a different picture. You have a bunch of whites that only hang with other whites. (If you watch the WB you have a bunch of blacks that only hang with other blacks.) The only time you see anybody of color or anybody white on any of these shows is when the writers want to reinforce the negative stereotypes that we have about each other.


When have you seen anybody black on 2 And a Half Men? When have you seen anybody white on All Of Us?

This is the America I live in.

We are more separated now than we have ever been. But in this day and time it is by choice. People tend to go where they are most comfortable. They tend to do things that they understand. I bet the average white person could not tell me who Pam Grier is and I would bet that the average black person has not sit down and watched a full episode of Friends. I do not live around any white people, my suburban neighborhood of single family homes is mostly black, with a few Hispanics sprinkled here and there. The clubs I go to are majority black, and the restaurants my wife and I go to are majority black.


I live in a color coded country. It is a damn shame, but it is true. I respect my white friends and I like hanging with them sometimes, but I know that we live , work and play in 2 different Americas.


I live in a black America. I play in a black America. I may work in a white America, but I know I am still black in America.

There is no illusion to that.

The good ole days....Where have they gone?


There is a station called The Rhyme on XM radio that only plays Old School Hip Hop. I love this station because it makes me think about my youth. It amazes me how good a mood this music puts me in. I am a Hip Hop Junkie. I love it.
Let me correct myself.... I love the music I grew up listening to. The garbage that is getting passed off as Hip Hop today I cannot stand. But the music from the late 80's to the late 90's is the shit to me.
Like today for example...
I was listening to The Rhyme on my daily 40 minute commute home from work when LL Cool J's classic song "Radio" started blasting through my speakers. I was actually transported back to 1986. My head started nodding, and my hand reached for the volume and I blasted it . Even though it was 90 degrees today, I rolled down my windows and was rapping the lyrics like we used to do when I was 16.
Damn that music brings back memories!!
I had no worries then. No bills, no mortgage, no car note(s), nothing. The only thing I really had to worry about was making sure that if I was not in the house, I was at least back on our stoop before the street lights came on.
Of course I had the shell toed Addidas (no shoestrings) with the matching jump suit, the Kango and the fake gold rope. All courtesy of my Moms. Of course I didn't think about it then, but I wish I could go to my Moms now when I need a new pair of shoes or the latest outfit.
Now my routine is getting up at asscrack thirty so I can fight traffic and be at my desk before the sun comes up. Then I have to deal with people that if it were not for the fact that my mortgage is due the beginning of every month, I would tell to go to hell. Then when the sun is beginning to set, I get back in my truck, fight some more traffic, get to my nice suburban hideaway, and try to prepare myself to get up at asscrack thirty the next day, so I can do it all again.
Sigh.....
Damn I miss the good ole days!!
Well maybe tomorrow, The Rhyme will play some classic Big Daddy Kane.
