Venting Session

There are a few things that I need to get off my chest.

First...
I am getting sick and tired of hearing about Gay rights and Gay marriage. Who the fuck cares who marries who? Why is this even an issue in 2012? If two people are dedicated to each other and love each other and have established a life with each other..why shouldn't they be allowed to join the fraternity of marriage?
I am sick and tired of hearing about how it is against God's word and all that other bullshit. Really? This is coming from people that think it is OK to deny the poor and needy the help they desperately need just because " I worked for mine.. You work for yours?" Seriously? This is that bullshit son. If Gay people want the choice to be able to divorce and remarry like their name is Jennifer Lopez... Then let them handle up on that. I mean it ain't like us in the straight community have made marriage the most desirable institution going now, right? I mean what is the divorce rate among God Fearing, till death do us part, straight people? I don't see how allowing  two grown ass adult ass people who love each other the right to get married will fuck up marriage anymore than us "normal" people have already fucked it up. I'm just saying...

Second...
When is this bullshit ass NFL bounty bullshit gonna stop? I mean it's FOOTBALL for Christ's sake. It is a game where people get paid to knock the dude on the opposing team the fuck out. People who play football and get paid to play football know the job is dangerous before they take it. They know the risks involved. We had "bounty" programs when I played  football in High School. We were told to do whatever we needed to do...within the rules... to stop the other team. That meant that if we knocked out the opposing team's best player out of the game...then..shit...He was just knocked out of the game and we had a better chance of winning. This whole bounty shit has been taken out of proportion. Nobody told the Saints to go out and break somebodies legs or gouge out somebodies eyes. They were just given incentives to do their jobs better. What's the difference between what the Saints did and an employee working at a used car dealership getting a bonus for selling more lemons than his fellow salesmen? The way the NFL is going, the players will be wearing skirts and waving pom-poms next to the damn cheerleaders before to long.

Third...
I am sick and tired of Republicans. They are the most racist, war monging, homophobes, Mr. Burns (from the Simpson's) ass people on the face of the earth. They are the most hypocritical and small minded people in the country. They want the government to stay out of people's business; but they want the government in people's bedrooms and in Doctors offices telling a woman what she can and cannot do to HER body. They say they want equality in America; but they view women and minorities as being the "lesser vessel". They say the President has no right to withdraw American troops from war zones that they started; but they have skipped and dodged going to war themselves when they had the chance to show their "love for country". They are bent out of shape about illegal immigration; but they still want their houses built in 90 days or less, their lawns mowed on the first Saturday of the month and their mansions cleaned every week. They always scream "America First"; but a prominent Republican ex Presidential candidate just applied for dual citizenship to a European "socialist" country. They have been screaming at the top of their lungs about how the President needs to be more flexible; but they have cut the man off at the knees whenever he has tried to meet them halfway on anything.

I hate to say that I hate anything or anybody...but it is getting to the point that now whenever somebody tells me they are Republican, I give them the side eye... and a picture of either a Sambo lawn jockey holding a light on somebodies front lawn or a KKK Grand wizard pops up in my head.
Thinking about how this political party still has the support it does from so many "God fearing Christians";  after all the evidence of everything I have just mentioned,  tells me a lot about this country I call home.

OK.... I had to get this rant out... In the words of that great American Hero, Shrek.. "Better out than in I always say".
Woosah....Woosah...
