I try my damn best to accept other people's ideas and points of views.
I try to listen to what they say and I try to understand why they are the way they are.

I try not to limit my way of thinking to only one point of view. I try my best to take into account other's backgrounds and education levels.

I try. Which is all I can do... I guess..

But as hard as I try not to...hate is such an ugly word and feeling...I am starting to hate the Republican Party.

I cannot stand not one of those bastards. They make me sick. I tried to watch the Republican debates this weekend...and the political shows afterwards...I really did. But all the lies, bullshit and down right racism and bigotry of the small minded White men up on that stage and sitting behind those "news" desks made me want to take a hot bath in some bleach and tomato juice.

I don't see how in 7 Texas hells these assholes can get up on a stage in front of the world and fix their mouths to say the shit they say. I don't understand how they have the support they do. There was no truth, integrity...nothing of substance came out of a set of bleached teeth on that stage. Not nothing.

There is not a man or woman of character in the whole Republican party. Not one.

How can any educated person back these assholes?

This is the country I am supposed to be proud of? This is the country I have went to war for? 3 times? This is the country that is supposed to be the shining beacon for the whole world? This bullshit? Really?

These assholes actually think they represent "what's good" in America?

Would it take 10 million? 100 million? 250 million? A billion?

How much would it take? Or is enough money not really enough money? Do you like money that folds? Or would you prefer to have money that don't fold? I mean money that will not fit in a wallet, money?

If you were given 1.2 million just for signing a contract to play a child's game..and then given $650,000 for the first year of that contract..another $875,000 the second year of that contract..and then a cool million for the last year with an option for another year at another 1.2 million...would you still want more? Would that be enough money for you to "feed your family"? Would that be enough money to provide your family with a nice Christmas?

I hate religion.

And I have no use for people that are so blinded by their religion that they refuse to see any other person's point of view.

I do not understand why religion is a focal point in politics. I thought that it is in the constitution that religion and state are supposed to be separated. If Mitt Romney wants to believe that Jesus Christ descended upon Utah a hundred years ago and bought with him a new Bible...then he is entitled to that. If a Muslim wanted to throw his hat into the ring for a chance at the big seat...then more power to him.

This is supposed to be the country of freedom of religion. There is nothing in the Constitution that says that this is a solely Christian nation. There is nothing in the constitution that says that a person has to be "washed in the blood of Jesus" in order to sit in the funny shaped office, in the big seat, behind the 150 year old desk, in the big White House. If it is in there somewhere, somebody please correct me.

So all this focus on Mitt Romney being a Mormon is that bullshit. Who cares?

How can this country of all countries call itself a "Christian" nation?

I think that 95% of Americans would call themselves "Christian"... But...

Is it Christian to discriminate and treat others differently just because you don't like their skin color?
Is it Christian to put money and power above the welfare of people?

If these are the attributes of being a CHRISTIAN...Then son, I wants no part in it.

My beliefs and values include treating others like I want to be treated.
They include respecting the elderly and putting children in a position where they can succeed in life.
They include owning up to my mistakes and not blaming others for the decisions that I make that might turn sideways on me. They include learning from my mistakes and not repeating them..because in my opinion...a mistake done twice is not a mistake..it is something that was meant.
My beliefs and values include not worshipping a man or an object. That is why I could give a fuck about what Brad Pitt is wearing to an event that honors other men and why you will never see anything that resembles a cross on my body or in my house.
My beliefs and values include living my life as good as I can without causing harm to another..But don't get it twisted....if you cross that thin..and it is a very thin line..you might come up missing. There is no turning the other check when it comes to Dirty Red.

If I have 10 dollars and you have 2...am I supposed to give give you 8? Am I under some kind of unwritten law that says that just because I have more money than you I have to give you most of my money just so life will be fair towards you? Am I supposed to help every homeless person out begging on the street, just because I have 2 or 3 extra dollars in my pocket and they don't have any? Am I supposed to feel sorry for you and your family because you went out and spent money that you didn't have and now your ass is hanging out?

Yesterday (while I was at work missing the games that the rest of you were enjoying)I had a lengthy conversation with a Republican buddy of mine.We talked about the shitty choices he has to make next November regarding which one of the clowns he was going to vote for. He is not happy with the Republican representation thus far. He feels that it will be another 4 years of waiting to "take his country back".

I kinda agree with him but I kinda don't agree with him.

First, I believe that the majority of White people that pulled the level for Big O the first time did it out of White Guilt. They wanted to prove to themselves and the world that they were not the hated R word. So I think that this time around they are going to go right back into survival mode and Do The White Thing. I could be wrong...but I could be more right.
Second...most of the Republicans and the ones leaning on the fence watch Fox ~~news~~ bullshit and that means they are getting spoon feed a lot of Obama-hate and lies on a daily basis. And we all know that the ones that watch that mess are about as ill-informed as a person that thinks Kim Kardashian married for love and that Britney Spears is a helluva role model for teenage mothers. So I have to say that this election is not going to be a shoe-in for his O-ness.

Since I have taken it upon myself to try to improve upon this already sexy body by putting myself through hell 4 times a week at my neighborhood LA Fitness....I have noticed several things about shit that either I was too scared to even think about or I just didn't notice...

I think it is a combination of both but I will let you, my faithful readers be the judge.....

Since I have been working out regularly for the past say...2 years now...I have been noticing the male and female body shape in a different way.

Now when I say "male" body shape, I don't mean that in a Homosexual way. I am not looking at men and getting all sexually excited or any thing like that..what I'm saying is I am looking at dudes in a way to improve on how I look. If I see a dude with cut up shoulders or arms or calf's, I think well shit...I wonder how he got his shit like that? What exercises does he do? I wonder if I can fit that into my workout? Nine times out of ten I will go up to the dude and ask them. This has gotten me some useful information and it has also gotten me some weird looks. But nine times out of ten the dude I ask will give me some pointers. I have made a few friends by doing this. I also notice when a dude is in the gym just to be seen. I am talking about the type of person that is not really into getting healthy they just want to be seen in a pair of tights and a muscle shirt. The type person that tries to work out with way too much weight for them to handle and they end up looking like they are rehearsing for a Dancing With the Stars audition. I am pretty sure all of you have seen people like this. A dude that's telling himself that he is working his biceps, but he is working every muscle in his body just to do one rep.

I have to say that what I thought I thought was sexy about women before I got serious about getting in shape has definitely changed.
I used to tell myself that I wanted a women that worked out and kept her body tight. And in some ways I still do..but...

I prefer a woman with some looseness with her curves. I don't like all the tight muscely ass women that frequent my gym. After a while they all start to look like the grunting ass dudes. I like a little bounce and shake with my women, ya know? Now I think a women that works out is sexy...very gatdamn sexy, but there is a limit for me. I don't like a woman that works out so much that she looses her femininity. Even though I like women with nice thick thighs and legs, I don't want a women that can squat more than I can. I don't want my head crushed if I decide to put my face in the place and I start to tickle that little man in the boat..which I have been known to do....Ya understand what I'm saying?

You will get over it. I am going to be very insensitive to certain people during the next couple paragraphs; so if you wear your feelings on your sleeve, you might want to leave now.

I am so sick and tired of hearing about how a certain group of people in this country, that came to this country in the back of a semi hidden beneath some cabbages, crawled under the border in a makeshift tunnel, swam over a nasty stank river, climbed over a fence, went under the fence or however else they got here ILLEGALLY...complaining about new laws that certain states have adopted that might separate them from their families and send them back to wherever they came from.

Am I supposed to feel sorry for them? Am I supposed to feel sympathy for them because they got caught breaking the law? Am I supposed to picket and march to show my solidarity with them?

Really? Is this how I show human compassion to people that got caught breaking the law of the land?

Let me inject something into the equation real quick....

I am not against immigration. I am not against people doing whatever it takes to provide for the people they are responsible for. However you need to get your money; as long as you are not raping, killing or stealing, then handle up on that.

What I am against is people that get caught doing whatever they are doing trying to play the blame game and try to reverse whatever they got caught doing back onto the people that caught them.

I live in Dallas, Texas.

I like it here. It had to grow on me, the whole TEXAS thing, but it ain't bad here. Not bad at all.
Before I came here I thought the whole state was nothing but Rednecks, cows and more Rednecks.
Now don't get me wrong...There are a lotta Rednecks, cows and more Rednecks..but it ain't like what I pictured it to be. There are a quite a few places just outside of the Dallas and Ft.Worth city limits where "the coloreds" would be best not to visit. That is the case for all the rural areas outside of every major city here. I assume it is like that for every major city in the country. But to tell the truth...I have seen more racism from the Mexicans here than I have from the usual ~~white~~ suspects. For some reason The "Blacks" and the "Browns" do not seem to get along.

Anyways....

When I heard about the name of our Governor's families hunting lodge; it didn't really surprise me, but in a way it did. I mean come on son, you are the Governor of one of the biggest states in the country and a Presidential candidate; and you didn't think a hunting lodge named NIGGERHEAD would be noticed by the media?

Now I ain't mad at ole Slick Rick...I mean he ain't the one that wrote NIGGERHEAD on the rock that everyone has to see before they go into this hunting compound. But since he is now in the national spotlight; I kinda sorta think that his people should have told him that either he needs to stay away from NIGGERHEAD, or he should get the NIGGERHEAD rock removed.

What about the "schools" in our communities? Will protesting over a hunting lodges name improve them?
Will it take the drugs out of our neighborhoods?
Will it make the entertainers that are so beloved by us change the lyrics to their songs?
Will it help us stabilize our family structure by advocating a 2 parent household?
Will it teach our youth that it is better to learn to read and write than it is to learn the fundamentals of throwing a football or dunking a basketball?

Last night as soon as I came home from the gym; my neighbor came over to my house. It was as if he was outside waiting on my truck to pull into my driveway This is the same neighbor that I blogged about last year whose wife put a used tampon into his freshly made drink of Crown Black while he was watching the game.

Well they have been at it again. But it is getting worse..It is getting physical. This time she was beating the dude all around the knee and thigh area with their vacuum. Yep....You heard me....The gatdamn vacuum. All because their oldest daughter skipped school yesterday.

The dude limped his poor ass over to my crib barely able to walk. His face was scratched up and his lip was swollen. Again he swore that this was it and he was leaving.

Well I invited him in,offered him a beer and we went up to my den to talk. He said his peace and I took a deep breath and this is what I told him......

'Dude...you can't keep living like this. Every other day you are telling either me or Tommy...(our other neighbor) about some shit that you and this woman have done. And it's getting worse..You have kids man. This is not good for them to see. Your daughters are going to think that this type of shit is normal and their relationships are going to be as fucked up as yours. Now the way I see it you got 2 choices...you can stay or you can leave. If you stay then you need to stop complaining because it is obvious that you like her bullshit. Now if you decide to leave and I am not telling you to leave your home and your kids, then you need to grab your balls and do that shit. Either way I cannot tell you what to do. But I do know that somehow this bullshit here has to stop.'

Of course he agreed with me as he always does. We talked a little longer, drank a few more beers along with a few shots of Jim Bean and he went back to his house.

Now my question is this.....

What the hell is going on over there that makes them two nukkas stay together?

Is it love? Necessity? Sex? The kids? Stupidity? Or do they just like drama?

I know good and damned well that I ~~could~~ would not put up with that bullshit.

Last night the President gave a "major"speech about his proposal to get the economy back on track.

I tried to watch it..but alls I heard was blah blah blah.

I want to have faith in the dude; lord knows I do;but I know that when he gives his feel good, we will overcome speeches the Republicans tell him what's what; he settles for the scraps they toss him and then he gives another speech about how he was glad that the two sides could come together in a moment of crisis.

We will hear for the next 2 months about how the Republicans won't budge, the Dumocrats "led" by the President will go from town hall to town hall telling the American people how Congress must act now.

The President will call an "emergency" meeting with the usual redneck suspects, the cameras will be rolling and after about 45 minutes Boehner will give a press conference telling the American People what he wants, what he ain't gonna do, all in the name of the American People mind you, and that the President can go suck a dick. After about another week, the two sides will come to an "agreement" in which Boehner and his butt buddies get exactly what they want while the pussy-ass dumocrats are left standing in line at the nearest soup kitchen.

This is how it is going to go folks.

This morning the Wifey and I were laying around watching CNN and the Saturday morning host had an "expert" on the show talking about education in America; or should I say the LACK of education in America.

He was talking about racial disparities and all the usual bullshit about how the inner city schools are performing at a level way lower than the schools in the suburbs. He told a story about how his son went to a debate class somewhere out in the stix in the state in which he lived and his son felt inadequately prepared for the type of challenges that he faced. This guy was saying that inner city or surburbs really doesn't matter because schools are failing all over the country.

The usual question was posed...Why is this happening?

I have a theory on that subject..Too bad I won't get invited to TJ Holmes Saturday morning show to give my opinion about it.. But who needs CNN when I have this?

My theory is this....

Schools are failing not because of bad teachers and even worse parents; even though teachers and parents are two of the main reasons schools in this country are piss poor.
Schools are not failing because of cutbacks.
They are not failing because of overcrowded classrooms.
They are not failing because of all the "illegals" that are here that cannot speak the chosen language of this country.

Now granted all of these reasons are valid and they are playing their part.
But as in all theatrical productions, they only have small roles in the overall picture.

Schools are failing our children in this country by design.

Let me explain...

I figure that all this goes back to slavery. Yes I am going there...bear with me please...

Slaves were not permitted to be educated because the powers that be knew that if you opened someones eyes to the truth,,then all hell would break loose. They knew that if a person did not know what was going on around them; if they did not know how to discern for themselves what was right or what was wrong; you could control them. They would be forever dependent on you to lead them around by the neck.

The same applies today. Educated people are a very unstable people. Educated people ask educated questions and they expect educated answers. If they don't get answers that satisfy their educated minds they are capable of holding an educated revolt against the powers that be.

When was the last time in this country a group of people stood up and demanded the rights that were promised to them?

After the 60's, education in this country started to decline. The government learned from it's mistake.

I graduated my leadership course yesterday and am on my way back to Dallas today. I can't wait to put GA behind me.

It is humid as hell down here. I know it's hot as two hell's in Texas; but it's a dry heat. This humid shit?
I ain't gonna be able to do it. This is that bullshit son.

Anyways back to what I want to talk about....

We had to critique the class and it's instructors yesterday before we signed out. In my opinion the class was ok..I can't complain about it. The instructors were professional and very knowledgeable in their field. They handled their business.
So my critique was pretty positive.

But...

The one female in the class critique was not very good. She complained about everything. But the one complaint that got me and the rest of the class heated was she said that the guys in the class were not very "gentleman like". She said that during the time we had night classes that at least one of us should have walked her to her car. She said that we should have opened doors, and offered her the best seat and all that good shit. We should have invited her to go out with us when the rest of the guys were going out around the town..even though we did and she always refused.
All we could do when this bullshit came out her mouth was go, for real?
That's how you want to play this? Really?

Now mind you that this is the same chick that got pissy when we offered to carry equipment that would have been too damn heavy for her. We altered the way we talked around her so as not to offend her. We offered to drive to her room to pick her up if she wanted to hang with us.

In my last post I told y'all how I am down here in Georgia going to a military advancement class.

So far this class has been pretty cool.

Except for one thing...

There is only one female in our class. Which is not all that surprising.

There is one dude in our class that is sweeter than a bag of Reece's pieces. Which again, is not all that surprising.

The thing that bothers me and the rest of the dudes and one female in the class is that this dude is straight flamboyant with his gayness. Which again is cool with me...I prefer that if a person is gay, then be who the hell you are supposed to be.

I just don't want to get hit on by a dude. And this dude makes no qualms about what it is he is looking to "get".

That bothers me.

First...We are supposed to be in a "professional" setting and the type of shit this dude is pulling is out of line.

Second...It is starting to make the guys(including me) and one girl in the class very uncomfortable. Nobody wants to partner up with this dude to conduct the labs that are required to pass this class.

Third...The shit just makes me feel nasty..Like I have to jump head first into a vat of hand sanitizer and just swim around in that shit.

I hate feeling like this about anybody.

I have no problem with a dude that likes dudes or a chick that is into chicks. I just don't care. There are a lot more things in this world to worry about than what 2 grown consenting ass people are doing to each other in their own time.
But what I have a problem with is when one of those grown consenting ass people try their damnedest to pull me into what they think is "normal" behavior for them.

I have not been down here since 1991.

I was asked the other day by one of my ~~white~~ colleagues what I think of our President and the job he is doing.

I had to stop and think about this a little because normally me and this dude does not talk that much. But we were working together that day and somehow the conversation turned towards politics. At first I thought that the question was a trick to draw out something negative; since you all know that White People love to hear Black people bash other Black people that are in some position of power; you know what I mean, that ole divide and conquer thang; so I told myself to choose my words wisely.

I told him I think he has accomplished a lot in his short time in office; more than damn near any other President before him.. .
But...

I told him I ain't all that impressed with him. I think he concedes too damn much.
I think he tries so hard to not be the Angry Black man, that he bends over way too easy. He tries to get along with people that he should just tell to go fuck themselves. I think he needs to show the world whose nuts are swinging.
This is what I think.
But...Another But...

Has he been a bad President?
Ummmmmm. No.

He has shown some flashes of brilliance. He has proven to me and the rest of the stereo type believers here in this great country of ours that there are educated, soft-spoken, strong Black men walking amongst us. He has proven that you don't need to slap a ho to get your point across. Even though slapping a few hos is exactly what he needs to do sometimes.

I believe the comment went like, 'The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president'.
Their "single most important thing" is to get this half Negra out of the house that Whitey built; with the "built" being done by slave labor.
So I think that this "debt ceiling" is a part of that plan.

"News" agencies are already saying that the President is invisible. They are already having specials with "experts" asking if the President is "strong enough".

This guy has been disrespected his whole term in office. This whole "debt ceiling" mess is part of that bull shit.

You don't see Alex Rodriquez or Michael Jordan or Dirk Nowitzki walking around in their bikini draws to make a few extra million dollars. They don't have too. We as a society accept them as being great in what they do without us having to see all of their natural asses.

The other day I watched a documentary by a "former" Blood Gang member Cle "Bone" Sloan; called Bastards of the Party. In this documentary this dude talks about how he joined the gang, why he joined the gang and he somewhat touched on the history of gangs in the LA area. There was a lot of discussion as to why gangs where started in the late 40's, 50's and 60's. Gangs were started back then because of racism and protection from the racist practices that were prevalent back then. Blacks felt the need to band together to help one another out. Which is all good. I wish we still had that kind of unity and love for one another now.

But....There is always a but...

What is the reasoning and logic behind gangs today?
Who do we need protection from now?
I don't see the police and White gangs running around terrorizing Blacks today.

Is there still racism?
Is water wet?

But Black gangs of today are not protecting Blacks from racism. They are not protecting Black neighborhoods. They are not protecting Black women and children from being molested and raped if they are walking around these neighborhoods late at night. They are not walking kids to school in the early mornings to protect them from the "man". In fact they are doing the same shit now that they were originally trying to protect our people from.

So what was the purpose of this "former" Blood interviewing all the old heads in this documentary;getting them to shine some light on the history of how all this mess started, if all the gangs do today is ignore their history and become the thing that the gangs were started to fight against?

More Black men have been killed by other Black men than the KKK has ever thought about killing.
More Black men have been killed by other Black men than the Police has ever thought about killing.
I am guessing that more Black men have been killed by other Black men than in all the Wars that Black men have fought in while serving this country.

So what is the purpose of gangs today?

Is it the American media's job to keep us informed about the important shit that is happening in our country on a daily basis; or is it their job to entertain us and keep our minds and thoughts OFF the important shit that is happening in our country on a daily basis?

I ask this because the other night our President gave a speech about our involvement in Afghanistan;( which I might be seeing in the near future by the way.)

I thought the speech was well said, but that is about it. In other words I thought it was a political speech filled with political talk that basically said a lot of pretty nice things but didn't say much of anything. The speech was very nice to listen to, given by a man that is according to the wifey, nice to look at; but it didn't mean nothing. Sorta like a hooker in Hunts Point up in the Bronx...Nice to look at with all the nice asses and titties; nice to listen to with the smooth silky way they ask for your money; but if you close your eyes and look with your mind instead of your eyes and hear with your gut instead of your ears; you will see, hear and understand exactly what is being shown to you and what is being told to you. Which is "you ain't nothing but a mark to me. You don't exist. You are only my car payment, my house note, food for my kids and my next hit of heroin. So fool listen to my nice voice. Look at my coke bottle ass shape and give me my money. But don't take too long in busting your nuts off, because I'ma have to charge you double. This shit ain't free nigga."

I try to keep an open mind about different stuff.
I try to understand why a person does whatever they do.
I try to put myself in the other persons shoes and try to see how they view the world.
I don't try to judge other people, but sometimes I fail miserably.

For example...

I have tried for about a month to listen to conservative talk radio whenever I am in my car. I wanted to see if I could try to understand the hate that most conservatives have towards our sitting President. I wanted to see if I could get a grip on all the negativity towards the way the country is being ran under the nations first African American President. I wanted to see if I could get some kind of mental picture of why they think the way they do.

I have failed.
I have tried to see their point of view and I cannot.
I don't understand it. I have tried and I cannot get it.

How can people that profess a strong believe in Christianity be so hateful and bigoted?
How can they spread shit that they know is nothing but lies and bullshit?

Like I said I have tried to listen to this bullshit for about a month and I can't do it anymore.
I am tired of getting mad and cussing at the radio for the mess they talk about.

Nothing they talk about is based on any facts. It is all baseless rhetoric. It is all opinion based bullshit.

I have heard some of the most outrageous and despicable stuff on conservative talk radio,that I am surprised that the FCC has not shut them down.
I have heard so much overtly racist bullshit that I am surprised that the NAACP, the Urban League, ACLU and all the other "equal" rights groups ain't staging daily protests in front of these studios.

But this is America. "Freedom of speech" and all.

I have an idea about Sarah Palin that I wish to share with ya'll....

My Rethug buddy and I were talking about her last week at work. My buddy is one of the few Rethugs that cannot stand the woman. He says that he wishes that she would just go back to Alaska; count the money she has made over the past 2 years and keep her mouth closed. He says that she is a disgrace to the party he loves with her "folksy, mama bear" bullshit.

Well I can't knock the dude for his opinion.

But my opinion is this...

Sarah Palin is not a stupid woman; no matter how dumb she sounds whenever she opens her mouth. It is practically guaranteed that when she opens her mouth, the sound-bites are going to end up on The Daily Show, Stephen Colbert, Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimball and Comedy Central. I mean the chick should start her own stand-up routine she sounds so stupid. For instance....listen to her bullshit about how Paul Revere was warning the BRITISH instead of warning the colonists that the BRITISH were coming..

But having said that..I have to say this....

I think it is all an act. See, I think that this woman has realized the main factor in determining how successful a woman can be here in the "land of opportunity."

As if God is Jesus and Jesus is God. But if you know anything about the Bible, It clearly states that they are two SEPARATE entities.

Anyways....

This conversation we had was actually a pretty civil conversation since we both agreed that this fool ass reverend was just that; a fool ass. The Bible clearly states that not even the Son(Jesus) knows when the father(God), (Two SEPARATE entities)...is going to give the order to cleanse this world of all it's bullshit.

Don Lemon, a CNN news anchor, came out of the closet the other day...He announced on Twitter that he was a Gay Black Man living in an anti-Gay America.

And? Why is this news?

Why the hell did he feel the need to come out in the first place? Who really gives a shit? I am sure that his co-workers already knew who he was, his family probably knew and his boy-friend (I am hoping) already knew.

So why the sudden need to tell the world? Did he think that our opinions of him would change? Did he think that all of a sudden we would stop watching CNN if we found out?

On my way into work this morning I heard something on the Steve Harvey morning show that got me thinking about myself...

The phone blast this morning was about women making more duckets than their significant other.. The question was will that hurt a relationship.
Well I have no problem with that. I am secure enough with who I am that I don't worry about shit like that. I know what I contribute to the relationship and I try to do the best I can with what I got. If my woman makes more money than me (which she does)...I am good with that.. I have no problem telling her I might be a little short with some shit this month..And if she is short I do what I gotta do to pick her up..That is how a marriage or boyfriend-girlfriend-boyfriend-boyfriend-girlfriend-girlfriend type relationship is supposed to work.. Two people using what they got to make the others life easier. That is what "loving" somebody is supposed to mean.

But this is not what got me to thinking....
What layed on my mind like a ton of bricks was this...

One woman called in and was like that she is wanting to stay moving and her man is comfortable with were they are..She wants to advance in life, but he is comfortable with what they have now.. Well that got me to thinking about myself...

When we first moved to Dallas about 8 years ago I was all about advancing..I had just gotten off active duty, I was in college, I was trying to find a job that better suited my personality and experience, I was trying to write a book and I was all about keeping it moving.

Now I am back in the Army, I have finished college, well my first degree anyway, I have not even looked at my book in about 7 or 8 months and I am comfortable with my job. I am not comfortable with the money, because the more you make the more you spend, but I am ok.

So have I gotten stagnate?
I have not even looked at my resume in months and I have not even tried to find a another job.
I have even started liking what I do now.
So have I stopped moving?
Am I standing still watching the world pass me by?
These questions haunted me the whole drive into work and I cannot answer them.

I do not like the feeling that phone call gave me, because it sounded too much like me.

Am I getting old?

I don't feel old..in fact I feel like I am still in my 20's.. But my actions of late are that of my father and I don't like it.

I don't like it at all....

6. And he did what the former President said he was not worried about....He caught the most wanted man. In. The. World.

I don't like how he did do some of his shit, I feel like he gave too much away on some of it, but what the hell, he got it done.

I work for the Texas Department of Public Safety.

I have held this gig down for the past 8 years.

I told myself when I was hired, that this slave was temporary and as soon as I graduated college and got my degree, that c-ya! I was going to be out like a scout on a new route. I had plans to pick up and leave the great state of Texas and take it on back to the state I love, Maryland.
But lo-and behold....4 years after I walked down the aisle with that piece of paper that said I was edumacated, I am still here.
Just like that old couple on In Living Color... "We are still together".

So in doing this for so long, I have saw myself become a sort of connoisseur of the security business.
In fact I am looking into what it would take to start my own security consulting firm.

Security is the new hotness on the street right now; Whether it be personal security, cyber-security, or corporate security.
I am looking to tap into all 3. I am giving myself 5 years to get it up and running. That is my long-term goal and hopefully I will make it happen.

But anyways that is not what I want to talk about....What is on my mind is this....
I probably will offend some people, but they will be alright...What they gonna do, delete my blog or leave anonymous comments?.... Yeah... So start your own shit and say what you want, if this gets to you....

Anyways....

Security is all about appearance. Especially non-armed security. Appearance and Demeanor is what might save a person from getting fucked with or fucked up.

So my question is....

Why would a security company hire a kid straight out of high school, an overweight person or an old person; someone who is only trying to supplement their social security?

What is the point?

How is a person like that supposed to keep anything secure?

I don't understand it.

I know that what I am saying sounds a little discriminatory...hell it sounds a lot discriminatory.

But...

I think that with every business, how you present your business to the world; the world that might come to your business for whatever service your business is providing; is one of the things that will keep your business in the Black.

So appearance is everything. Especially in the Security Business.

I am not saying that young-ins, fat people and old people don't have a right to work...Alls I am saying is that I would not hire them to work for my security company. You would have to be fit physically, have some kind of experience and not look like you are one step away from using a walker.

I am a member of the Hip-Hop generation.

Hip-Hop and I grew up together. We graduated middle and high school together. We went to 3 different proms together. (yes I went to 3 proms...I was tight like that..)

Too African to be American...Too American to be African

What is an African American?

Is it a native born African person that is granted American citizenship? Or is it a person that has some kind of African DNA that was born in America?

If the second definition is true, I guess I am an African American. But if the first definition applies, then what am I?
How much DNA would make me African? 10%? 35%? Or does the "one drop" rule work for DNA?

Sometimes I think that we as American Blacks are the most confused people on the face of the earth.
We call ourselves "African" American, but we have no African traditions, traits, language, culture or anything that would justify the use of the word "African" to describe us.

But on the other hand the word "American" cannot really describe us either; even though we try our best to fit the part.
I mean think about it......
Some of us straighten our hair or buy "America" style oriental hair to look more "American". Some of us lighten our skin to look more "American". Some of us fake our natural eye color in an effort to look more "American".
Some of us even cut ourselves off from other "African" Americans, because we are ashamed to be associated with anything other than true "Americans".

So who the hell are we?

Why don't we have an identity in this country that we have tried so hard to be accepted by?
I mean an identity that is not considered negative, ignorant, lazy or criminal minded?

Why is it that other "races" come here and prosper under "American" rules....but the people that fought for those rules always fall behind?

I think we have got to be the only "race" of people on the face of this "American" planet that have no true heritage to call our own, no true traditions to call our own...hell... no true language, religion, values, wealth, desires... no nothing to call our own. We don't even have our own Beauty, since so many of us think that the closer you are to looking "American" the better you look...

Everything that we say that makes us "African" has been taught to us by Europeans.

I had to report to jury duty for the esteemed county of Dallas, Texas yesterday.
Since I was not picked to serve, I guess I can disclose what the case was about... Well the jist of what the case was about, since not all that much WAS disclosed to the 65 of us that were sent home.

This was a case involving an adult female; we were never told how old she actually was; and an underage child engaging in an inappropriate sexual encounter. Again, we were never told how old the child was or the sex of the child; but the defense attorney did let it "slip" that the defendant was a lesbian; which kinda narrowed it down. We were told that the "inappropriate encounter" involved the adult placing the child's hand on her genital area in an effort to get some kind of sexual pleasure for herself. We were told also that the the "touching" was not forced in anyway.

Well during the jury nullification part of the whole "justice" system thing, the DA asked questions to see which of us 77 residents of Dallas County would sway to his side. One of the questions was how do we feel about the sexual abuse of a child.
Well duh...How should any adult that has children feel about the sexual abuse of a child? Another question was, would we be swayed in anyway if we found out the child was lying about the whole thing. He reminded us of the law in Texas concerning child abuse and all before he allowed us to answer.

Well the question floated around the courtroom with several yes's and several no's, until it came to me.....

Me being me....I told the DA that of course kids (and adults) lie if they (we) feel that lying would get them (us) out of some kind of trouble. It is human nature. I told him that I would be less concerned about the child lying and more concerned about what the adult did to give the child reason to feel that they had to lie. I also asked the DA what was the motivation behind the reason the case was being brought before a criminal court since the only crime involved touching...Was it the fact the the two people were in a relationship that went left and the child felt jaded and wanted some get back, or did the child's parents find out and wanted some get back of their own... Well of course since I was not officially part of the jury yet the DA danced around the question.

When the defense attorney had his turn, the first thing he did was ask the room how many of us were either involved in Law enforcement or had someone close to us that were involved in law enforcement. It seems that he did not want anyone on the jury that had some kind of intimate knowledge of the law and dealing with shit like this. Well of course that excluded me since I work for the Texas Department of Public Safety, as well as several others in the room that had some kind of dealing with "the man". After that this asshole skipped right passed us whenever he asked the room a question. We were not included in the conversation at all. Whenever we had a question he would ignore us as if we were invisible. He also began the paint the child as a liar and a willing participate... albeit very slyly... He attacked the kids' character in a way that was not actually said, but it was very well implied. Which pissed me off.

Now anything that involves a child hits a sore spot with me as it should with any adult. But like I said earlier, I know that false accusations are levied against people on a regular basis. More often than the average person would believe. There are a lot of people locked up that were lied against. This is the main problem I have with lawyers using snitches as witnesses in criminal cases. But I believe that in this case,the main question for me was,what the hell was the "adult" doing with this child in the first place? Why would she allow herself to be put in a situation where her character was being questioned? And if there was a relationship, the "she looked old enough" defense does not hold water. Any adult knows that no matter how a person looks, if you spend enough time (more often than not just a couple of damn minutes should do the trick)you get some kinda hint about how old the individual is you are dealing with. I.E. What they talk about, what their maturity level is.

So I already came into this shit with a biased opinion. It would have taken a lot of passionate testimony from the defense to convince me that the "adult" was not in any fault at all.

So I guess it was a good move by the court to dismiss me. Besides this woman was facing up to 20 years..
For a touch.

No matter how I felt personally, I could not send anyone to prison for 20 years for a damn touch.

Now I understand that taxes are important to keep our way of life going. I like the highways, the police(sometimes), the fire department, the military and all the other shit my money pays for that the majority of us take for granted..

But what I cannot understand is how in the hot ass Texas hell can this country have a deficient when we pay TRILLIONS of dollars every year in taxes.

How?

I mean think about it for a minute....

We pay income taxes every year. Everything we buy has some type of tax attached to it. So we pay taxes on money we make and then turn around and pay taxes from what is left over for shit we need to live. We pay taxes to drive on the roads...i.e. State registration for our vehicles. Sometimes I swear I do not understand some Black women.

Most of my wife's friends and some of her female relatives are included in this category. Let me explain.

These women are what I call "suckers for love ass women".

They will accept any and everything from a man just so they can say that they have a man.
Example....

My wife's used to be BFF, has been talking to this dude I refer to as "the pimp". I call him "the pimp" because that is what he looked like the first and only time I saw him. Anyways this dude is possessive, controlling and she has caught him cheating on her 2 times already. He has made her stop talking to my wife because my wife has let it be known that just because he controls her friend; to not go there with her. I thought that me and the dude was going to come to some hands about a month ago, but the wifey made me promise to let it go.

The wifey and her girl made plans to meet up at Papaduex the other night for happy hour and the girl called my wife and told her that they would have to meet somewhere else because she did not want "the pimp" to run up on her. She said that he does that on occasion; as well as blowing her cell up wanting to know when she is coming home. When I say "home" I mean HER home; since the nukka moved in with her. He drives her car and I don't know if he has a job; but according to her he buys her expensive perform and other "cheap" gifts to prove he "loves" her. Oh and did I mention that he got mad at her once because dinner was not cooked when he came home from where ever he was at and he mushed her all up in her face?

But she told my wife the other night when they finally agreed to meet up at a spot that was safe for a minute, that she hopes to be married to this fool by years end.

Really?

And she is not the only one...It seems that most of the single Black woman I have come across is stupid like this.
I don't understand it.
I understand that the ratio of women to men is like 8 to 1 here in the DF-Dub, but come on son...This is that bullshit.
I also understand that there are a lot of dudes running around here that sneak around with other dudes while claiming to be straight, but come on son.
I know also that there are a lot of dudes running around here that are old as ass still trying to be young.

But even though I know all this....

Where are the standards?

When did it become acceptable to accept bullshit just to say " Well at least I got a man"?
Why are these women not holding these "pimps" accountable for their actions?
Why are they letting a man that ain't got shit, never had shit and ain't trying to get shit move into their houses and be around their kids?

In my opinion this makes Black women look weak and confused. It makes then easy targets. And it is a far cry from the women I used to see growing up. The Black women I grew up around where strong, resilient women that were full of love, but if you fucked up, that love would 360 on your ass quick.

Yesterday on one of the morning shows here in the DF-Dub; the topic was the budget cuts that our fair city is going to have to endure to make those ends meet. (Oh and while I am on the subject of our fair city; It seems like our fair Mayor has done a Sarah Palin and resigned his post before his term is up. He has thrown his hat in the ring to run for the Senate. and according to THIS STATEMENT, It seems that our former Mayor is right on the heels of the tea-baggers and the Palins in Texas.)

Anyways back to the radio show.....

The main cuts that are being discussed are cuts to the jail system. Now I believe that Jail should be considered a punishment. I know when I was younger and did some shit that pissed my Moms off...she took everything from me. No TV, no phone, no visits from friends, no going outside, no nothing. I was literally excommunicated from the world I knew until she determined I had paid my dues and she determined when I could reenter the world of the living.

Why should Jail be any different?

Why am I paying so much a year in Tax dollars I work my ass off for to ensure that these fools can get a FREE COLLEGE education; while a nukka like me that is not in jail, has to pay damn near 350 dollars a month back to the government in student loans?

Why do these people that broke whatever law they broke be allowed FREE cable TV; while a nukka like me that is not in jail, has to pay damn near 150 dollars a month to Direct TV?

Why do these people that broke whatever law they broke be allowed FREE gym equipment; while a nukka like me that is not in Jail, has to pay 20 dollars a month in gym membership fees?

Why do these people that broke whatever law they broke be allowed FREE health care; while a nukka like me that is not in jail, has to pay "membership" dues every damn pay period?

Now I can live with the 3 meals a day; because these fools have to eat. I can live with the warm beds; because these fools have to sleep. I can live with the GED programs; because it is the lack of education that landed 90% percent of these fools locked up. I can even live with regular Dr. visits; because we can't have a health epidemic run loose in the prisons can we? I can live with the drug rehabilitation programs most jails have too. I believe if the system used these programs instead of locking someone up that has a drug addiction, there would be less people in prisons.

But all the extra shit?

Why?

Where is the punishment in that?
I have talked to several cats that have did bids for a couple of months on up to dudes that have been locked up for decades and they all say the same thing.... Jail ain't no bytch.
Having your freedom taken is nothing to be scoffed at.

But come on Son...
Jail is not supposed to be a "break" from the real world. You are not being locked up to get your "swoll on", so you can impress the ladies when you get out. (Or the dudes' depending on how long you were "away")You are not being locked up to get some kind of street cred to bolster your rep when and if you get out.

The whole purpose of Jail is to be punished for breaking the so called law of the land.

What is on my mind this morning Ladies and Gentlemen is the way Professional athletes...especially BLACK professional athletes... are referred to by the teams they are on and by the media.

What I mean is this....
These grown ass men are looked at as being property and assets instead of human beings. They are looked at as being commodities instead of people. They are sold and discarded like yesterday's newspaper whenever their "value" to their organizations diminish. In all this trade talk concerning Carmello; not once has he been referred to as a man. All the talk has been about what kind of "assets" the Nuggets will get to replace him.

Now I admit that these "superstars" are not worth the money they are being paid. Even my man Kobe, the beast that he is.

But with the insane amount of money that these guys are getting paid; for every dollar they are getting, their "owners" are getting five. The owners can trade and replace a "superstar" at will. Without even informing the player. Some of the players contracts deny them from riding a motorcycle, they cannot go to a park and participate in a simple pick up game with the local neighborhood cats. Their owners do not want anything to happen to their investments. And if something does happen the player is gone.

Now I understand contracts and business and money and investments and all that.
But these are people man. People.
These men are not property. They are not assets that can be gotten rid of a the drop of a dime.
They are not "commodities". Well in a sense I guess they are....but damn.

One thing I do have to add though...I have to give the "that's gangsta" award to Carmello.
He did what he wanted to do. He went where he wanted to go. And he did it on his time.

I have some questions I have to ask about Black Clubs that has been on my mind for a minute now.

These are some questions that I would really like to know the answers to; and if anyone has the answers, please feel free to hit me up.

1. Why is there always some old dude sitting in the bathroom with cologne, condoms, gum, breath mints and whatever else that you would ordinarily already have with you? Why do they always expect you to give them tips for you washing YOUR hands?

2. Why do old people try to "step in the name of love" to every damn song? Trying to step off of "Get Low?"
Really?

3. Why do the fattest women wear the most "form fitting" shit? Bytch if you have to ask; "Does this make me look fat"? Then yes Boo-Boo it does!! FAT and PHAT mean two totally different things entirely. ENTIRELY.

4. Ladies...Why the hell do you stand up by your table; dance your ass off; and then if a dude like myself asks you to dance... you say no? You don't like this song? Really? So what where you just doing? Catching the holy ghost while listening to "Single Ladies?"

5. Why do some dudes wear a damn 3 piece zoot suit to a smoke filled, dark as fuck ass club? And then just stand on the wall where everyone in the club has to pass by them to get to the damn bar? What, you don't go home before you go to Church? You go from doing to the Dougie straight to the Jesus Stomp? That's what's hot now-a-days? Looking like a two dollar version of TD Jakes with a side of Bishop Don Juan....

6. And while we are on the subject of dressing....Why do the oldest cats in the club try to dress so damn young? Bytch you are damn near 40 years old! Why do you look like a young NWA version of Ice-cube/Eazy-E? Really?

7. Why do Black women spend money on rainbow colored weaves for their "club do"?

8. What is the purpose of a woman getting a tattoo on her damn neck? And gold teeth? Like.. a full grill?

9. Why do men that used to be in shape wear the Under Armor outfits to the damn club like they still got it...Somewhere under all that belly?

10. And last but not least....Why do some men put the keys to their 1990 Mercedes on the bar next to their money clip when they order a drink? Who the hell is this impressing? Does this shit still work to pick up women?

Why, you may ask? You say that we as Black folks need to support one another? You say that every Black family has a "big mama" in it? You add that Martin Lawrence used to have a credible career until he was caught butt booty naked in the middle of LA traffic and he is finally getting his groove back?

All I can say is..Really?

Just because this dude is Black, I have to waste my money and time supporting this stereotypical, loud, obnoxious and big Black woman bullshit?
Just because he used to be a beast in the comedic world, I have to waste my time and money to reminisce over what was?

This is one of the many reasons I don't fuck with too many all Black movies. Especially Black comedies. I think that most of them are degrading to us as Black people and the really good ones that are made are ignored by us and everybody else because they are not degrading to us as Black people.

There are thousands of credible Black actors and screen play writers that get overlooked because Hollywood thinks it is cool to make movies that act out every stereotypical behavior that America thinks all Black Americans do.

And on to the next point... most of the actors in these bullshit ass movies are actors that used to have a viable career in Hollywood. They used to be A-list people...But now they are old, fat and broke and alls they want is that next paycheck to hold them over to the next White screen writer writes a screenplay on what he thinks all Black people are like by what he sees on CNN, MSNBC, FOX and all the rest of the "media" outlets we have in this country.

I can only speak for myself here but... I don't know any "Big Mama's". I don't have nan one in my family and if I did I would not admit it. I don't live in the "hood". I used to, but I grew the hell up and got the hell out.
I don't know any drug dealers. I don't know any gang-bangers. Like I said I used to...but I grew the hell up and I moved the Hell on. I don't have a babies mama. I have a wife. I am not on welfare. All of you that frequent my lil ole blog know that I have two jobs; the United States Army Reserve and the Texas Department of Public Safety. I went to and finished college without a sports scholarship. I have never been to prison; although quite a few of my child-mates have. I don't have AIDS and I am not on the down-low.

So why would I support any type of bullshit that glories all of the negative things that I mentioned above that I am not? Even if it has some sort of "feel good" message hidden somewhere in the plot?

Now I admit that back in the day I loved me some Martin Lawrence. I thought he was funnier than Eddie Murphy at one point.

I have just returned from the most physically demanding thing I have done since I went to Basic Training damn near 20 years ago... I am a graduate of the Advanced Hand to Hand combat course that the Army offers it's younger recruits. My body feels like it has been beat by a young Mike Tyson on steroids. It is cold as hell here in the Big D!!!

19 damn degrees at 1:00 in the afternoon!! This is the coldest it has been the entire time I have lived in Dallas.
They say that this is a record.

I grew up on the North East side of thangs, so cold weather ain't no big whoop to me. Matter of fact I prefer the seasons to do exactly what they are supposed to do. Winter is supposed to be cold; Spring is supposed to be warm; Summer is supposed to be hot; Fall is supposed to be cool.
That is how I prefer the seasons to be.

I have gotten spoiled living out here in Texas. There are only two seasons out here...Well... one and a half..
Summer and summer-fall.
It might get down in the 30's here during the "winter". It might freeze 3 days out of the year, but at noon the next day it is usually 75 or 80 degrees.

Snow might last a couple of hours after it falls and then it is gone.

So this shit here today is a total surprise to me.

I have a friend that is really starting to get on my nerves.

Well he has been on my nerves for a minute now, but I think he has finally stepped on the last one.

Let me explain....

This dude see's everything in straight "BLACK." Everything about this dude is "black" this, the White man ain't shit that, I can't stand White women this and blah blah blah. He refuses to see anything other than race.

Now I cannot sit up here and say that I do not see race; because hell, this is AmeriKKKa. Damn near everything in this bitch is about race. But I can say I try to give EVERYONE the benefit of the doubt. I treat everyone I meet with respect because I expect the same in return. White, Black, Hispanic, Asian or American Indian does not play a role in how I view or treat a person. Now if that White, Black Hispanic, Asian or American Indian gets stupid with me; then all bets are off. You will be a motherfucker to the highest degree of motherfuckers, and you will get dealt with in a way I deem is best suited with being a motherfucker.

But this dude is not like that. Every White person is evil, every Hispanic person is here illegally taking food out of our (black)mouths, every Asian person wants to be White and every American Indian; well we don't see too many of them, so I don't know how he feels in that regard. But if we were lucky enough to see one, then this dude would probably have a problem with them too.

I think this is illiterate- ass thinking. I think this type of thinking is very unbecoming of anyone; especially someone who is in Church every Sunday as soon as the doors open. I have told this dude this on numerous occasions. I cannot explain why I keep fucking with him, but this dudes days of being in my phone contact list are numbered.

Let me delve into the background of the man that goes by the moniker Dirty Red for a minute so you can get a feel of how I feel and why I talk the way I do.

I was raised in a Christian home. Well in a Jehovah Witness home, but Christian none the less.
As I got older and started thinking for myself, I began to see the bullshit in that organization, so I started asking questions that would not get answered. I was very confused so I started hanging with the Muslim cats in the hood and I started picking their brains a little. I joined the Army and I still was leaning towards Islam. I have read the Koran as well as the Bible front to back many times. I even gave up pork for about a year and some change.

Again I started to see the bullshit in that organization (Islam), so I started asking questions that would not get answered. I was very confused, so I wrote off both Islam and Christianity for a long minute. I still read and researched on my own and did my best to answer the questions that I had on my own. The more I read and researched, the more I became disheartened against all things religion. I bounced back to Christianity for a minute, but I am back to the religion is bullshit stage, where I think I will remain.

I cannot call myself "Christian" because I am not "Christ"-like. I still do things that probably make Jesus and his father (I believe that they are 2 SEPARATE entities, not that father, son, holy-ghost bullshit that we are all taught as children), blush and ask each other, "Why do we keep fucking with this dude?"
For me to say I am Christ-like would be a lie against my creator and I refuse to do that because I feel that there ain't no coming back from that.
I cannot consider myself a Muslim for pretty much the same reasons.

So here I am.

Which brings me back to the subject of this little rant.

Everyone and everything has good and bad associated with it. One thing is not any better than another thing. In order to see that, I believe that a person has to be able to jump outside of their comfort zone and try to see shit the way others see shit. You have to be compassionate towards other people's views and opinions. You don't have to agree with them, but I think that you have to respect them and try to understand why this individual thinks and acts the way they do and adjust your attitude accordingly.
Some people cannot be reasoned with, which means that you have to cut that person from your life in order to keep that individual from bringing unnecessary stress to your shit.

And this is why I refuse to treat people fucked up just because I have a problem with their ancestors.

If my life is fucked up, then it is because I fucked it up, not that Sally or Tom's Great-Great-Great grand father fucked it up.

Let me say again that I still see and always will see race and I believe that AmeriKKKa will also. But I cannot and I will not let Sally or Tom's views stop me from being the man that God made me to be.

My heart goes out to her family and to the families of the people that died, but I am getting tired of seeing this shit on the news 24/7 365. This is not the only tragedy that has taken place in our little country the past couple of weeks, but if you watch the news you wouldn't believe that.

I am also getting tired of all the finger pointing by people that want to politicize the deaths of those innocent people for their own careers.

What this man did...he did on his own. Could he have been influenced by the "don't retreat, reload" or the "if ballots don't work bullets will?"

Sure he could have. And he probably was.

But this dude has been crazy as bat-shit for years. I mean look at this bastard..... Don't he look just like Uncle Festus from the Adams Family? The people around him knew this dude was not right. But nothing was done. Not. one. damn. thing.

I place some of the blame of this sick deranged motherfuckers actions at the feet of his parents. How could they not know that their son was fucked up?

I know that Chris Rock came out with this movie a while ago, but I just happened to catch it the other day while channel surfing.

I have to say that this movie disturbed me.

I have known all my Black life that Black women get weaves. I was raised by Black women and I have been married to a Black woman for the past 12 years.

And I have to say that I have no problem with the weave; well at least I didn't have a problem with the weave.
But after watching this movie, I have a few concerns.

First... I would like to know who the hell decided that straight silky hair was the standard for beauty for all women.
I would also like to know why Black people have accepted that our natural beauty is not beautiful.

There is a scene in the movie where Chris Rock is talking with 4 Beautiful Black women and they were talking about Afros or natural hair styles in the Professional world. All of them; except the chick with the Afro, all said that they would not hire any Black person with a natural style because it did not look professional and that they would not take that person serious.

Really?

That's what's hot now?

And Mr. Rock interviewed some of the hair stylist that are in every strip mall in every Black neighborhood in America, and come to find out that some of our sisters are paying as much as $1000 dollars for a month's worth of hair.

The other morning before I went to get my workout on, I was channel surfing the tube and I came across a show I have glanced at before but never actually finished a full episode of. It is the show SUPERNATURAL and this particular episode got me to thinking. In this particular episode, the two main characters Sam and Dean, were killed and went to heaven. But the heaven in this episode is not the heaven we have all been led to believe to it is. This heaven was different. This heaven was not clouds and golden streets and angels sitting around playing harps. In this episode everyones heaven was different. Example.....If you enjoyed sitting at home playing video games and eating pizza and drinking coke all day, then when you finally kicked the bucket from high blood pressure and bad cholesterol, then that is what your heaven was; an eternity of Halo 3, pizza and coke. In other words, where ever you loved being and what ever you enjoyed doing here on Earth, then that is what your heaven would be when you die.

So I got to thinking if this shit were real and heaven was actually like this, what would my heaven be?

I have blogged before about how when I was much younger and much dumber, I loved the Hood. I loved living and being in the "ghetto". I loved being on the street. I loved the smell of it; the excitement of it, the thrill of knowing that anything might pop off at any given moment. I was addicted to the adrenaline of being out in the street. I still have a soft spot for the "hood".

Now that I am older, I love the water. I love the beach. I love the sound the water makes when it splashes up on shore. Nothing is more calming to me than hearing the waves splash up on the beach at night when it is so dark you can't even see the water.I love the smell of the salt. I love the feel of sand in between my toes. I love the calmness and serenity of being near the ocean. I have told my wife numerous times that if we win the lottery I am going to buy me an island somewhere in the Caribbean and never come back to the mainland.

So what would my heaven be?

Would it be the hood-life I loved as a snot-nosed kid, or would it be the calmness and healing properties of the ocean I love as a grown ass man.?

I guess I could deal with either, since I am still somewhat attracted to the dangerous world of the street and I absolutely love the beach.

Maybe God would really bless me and give me properties of both?

Why I am beating this dead horse again?
Well I am kicking the shit out of ole Barbaro once again because I was told that I was going to hell for not believing that "Christ the Lord" was born on Dec 25th and was raised again the 2nd Sunday in April. I was told that I need to repent, go to church and ask the Mr.Good Reverend Dr.to forgive me for my blasphemy.

Yep folks you are reading the words of a man bound for the gates of hell. I am a cursed man; and until I fall on my knees and get "born again", I am a doomed soulless man.

That is what I was told.
I was told this even after I asked the man to show me in the Bible he is always carrying around with him where it says when (what day) Jesus was born and when (what day) he was "born again". He skated around the question. I asked him to show me in the Bible he is always carrying around with him where Jesus commanded us to celebrate his birth. He could not do it. I asked him if he knew the origins of Christmas and Easter and he told me to read the Bible. I asked him what books in the Bible I should read and he told me to just pick it up and God would show me where to go. I asked to hold his Bible so I could get this divine inspiration and he told me that God would get me for mocking the words of his servant.

I busted out laughing at this stupid ass statement and this really pissed the dude off. He started praying right there for my eyes to be opened. He asked the Lord to forgive me and then he started speaking in tongues.

You heard that right people; The dude started blabbering on in that boom-shack-a-laka shit, and when I fell on the floor laughing; that is when he doomed me to hell.

Now don't get me wrong; I am not knocking anyone's right to believe what ever they choose to believe.
I choose not to believe in anything that is man-made.
I choose to educate myself before I make a conviction to follow a certain path.
I don't listen to one side of the story. I like to know all sides before I make up my mind about what I choose to do.

But in my opinion this dude is wrong; and his arguments are based on ignorant myths that a little research would shoot down. But he has been blinded so long, that any kind of light that is illuminated in his face burns his vision. It hurts him to hear another version of the story that he firmly believes.

Is his version right? I don't know.
Is my version wrong? I don't know.

I am not knocking this dude for having a strong believe in the religion and the myths that are associated with that religion that was forced on our ancestors in an effort to conform them to act more like their masters and to brain-wash them into thinking that God looked positively upon them being treated like property.

I am not knocking the dude for believing in a myth like Christmas; which was originally a day to celebrate Gods other than the "one true God".

I am not knocking the dude for believing in a myth like Easter....which was originally a day to celebrate Gods other than the "Holy of Holies".

If I have another choice for President in 2012, I will not be voting for President Obama.

I have a neighbor who is constantly arguing with his wife. I mean all out in the street arguing.

And I think he likes it.... Let me explain.

The other day I was out in my yard just chilling with my dog, when he walked over. He looked upset, but not too upset. I have seen that look before on the dude.

Anyways he comes over sits down beside me and goes,....

"Man I am going to kill that bitch one day."

I was like "What did she do this time, man?"

"Well I was just up stairs watching NFL Network and she came up telling me that she was going out with her girls. I was like OK, where are ya'll going, in case I need to hollar at you for anything. She was like we are going where we are going. I have my phone. If you need me, dial my damn number. And she goes into the bedroom to grab her purse. Well that shit stepped straight on my damn nerve so I went after her and was like... I thought you had cramps? A few minutes ago you was telling me how much you hated this time of the month. And now you are all energized to hit the streets with your girls? Come on son.. What I look like to you?"

This is the part of the story that if this was me... I would have been asking any of ya'll knew a good divorce attorney in the DFW area.......

When I started this blog about 3 years ago, I was attending church on a regular basis. Matter of fact my very FIRST POST was based on a sermon that the Pastor of the church I was going to gave.

Oh how time changes shit around!!!!

I have not been back to that church probably in about 2 years now. I have became very disgusted with all things religion; I.E. Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Alien Joe (the God of Will Smith and Tom Cruise) and the millions of other "true paths to God" out there.

Now don't get me wrong....My faith in God has never been stronger. It seems like I talk to him more than I talk to my wife sometimes. But I cannot stand how MAN has manipulated his message and intent to suit whatever agenda is on their imperfect mind at the time.

I think religion is bullshit.
Religion was made and embellished by MAN.

The Bible, Koran, Torah; were all written by MAN. The original words might have came from God, but over time MAN has changed, edited, lost or just plain hidden the original words of God to adjust to his imperfect, power-hungry agenda.
Religion is a tool that is used by MAN to control other men.

Case and point......

The Pope just gave his blessing on condom use.

Really?

Who is this dude to tell someone else that they can or cannot protect themselves from having unwanted children or catching a disease that could KILL THEM?

This past weekend the wifey drug me to see Tyler Perry's new flick, "For Colored Girls."

HATED IT......

I knew I would before I let her manipulate my ass into going..

But I's married now so.......

Anyways......I have to say that the women in this movie acted their asses off.. Even Janet Jackson's non-singing, non-acting ass. If one of these women are not nominated for an Academy Award, something is definitely wrong.

But back to my review...This movie sucks. ~~It would be best to get this movie from your neighborhood barber shop.~~

The main thing I had a problem with in this movie is I got the hint that ya man Tyler has a problem with Black men.

I knew that the Dumocrats were going to get their asses handed to them last night. So them losing the House of Representatives was no news to me. I am surprised that they did not lose the Senate too.

I have a theory on why they lost....

The Dumocrats lost because they are weak. They refused to hit back when they had every opportunity to. They were given the tape of their opponents every move and they refused to utilize what they saw. The Rethugs, with their sister party the tea-baggers, gave the Dumocrats everything they needed to wipe them out of existence...IE, racism, pandering to the rich, no knowledge of the constitution what so ever, scandals, straight disrespect of the President and a couple of more things that would have crippled any chances that the average person would have needed to get a library card.

But what did they do?

They let the Palins, Limdicks, Becks, Fox Crap, Boehners, Mcconnels and all the other Republican/Teabagger racist hate mongers take over their message.

They let them run amok on every "news" station that would hear them and they let them get their message of hate and intolerance out to the dumb average AmeriKKKans that need to have someone else tell them what they should be feeling and doing instead of thinking and learning for themselves.

Instead of putting out everything that this administration has accomplished from the beginning, they tried to turn the other cheek and pray that somehow their loyal followers would stick with them no matter what.

And then when someone in the White House woke up and saw what the fuck was going on and that they were getting their asses whooped, they tried to fight back with 30 seconds left in the 12th round.

The post I commented on was about how an admitted bisexual man (not one of those down-low motherfuckers) would make a woman a "good" man simply because he had his shit together.. I.E. Finances,health, physical appearance, that type of shit.

My comment was something like, Really? Why is this even a topic of discussion? Women are so desperate for a man now-a-days that they will willingly let a man into their lives that can switch between them and their male cousin at the drop of a hat? Really?

Well in response to my comment Rippa asked me the above question; Which I admit got me to thinking....As most of Rippa's posts and the posts of his guests do.

When did I know that I was attracted to women? When did I realize that I was "straight?" Was it a traumatic event in my life, or did I always know?

And the answer is...... I do not know.

I have always been attracted to women, it was never any question. I have always known that being sexually involved with a man was not an option for me. When I was in school I used to get dressed and undressed in a a bathroom stall for PT because I did not want to get undressed in front of another dude. It took my joining the Army to get me over that.

Matter of fact I used to be scared to death of Gay dudes. They terrified me. So being Gay was never in my way of thinking.

Mitch Mcdonnell (R) Kentucky said in a recent interview with the National Journal, that the single most important priority for the congress after the midterm elections is and I quote, "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president".

That is the "single most important thing", to Rethuglicans?

That is their plan after they win back the House and Senate?

Now in the fool's state that made this as-sine comment, the people are more concerned with the economy.
You see Kentucky has a 10.1 unemployment rate. They are more concerned with jobs than they are with education. And they probably could give a good damn about who is in office, as long as they have food on the table and their bills are paid.

But according to the man that represents them, making sure that the current HNIC fails is more important to him and others like him. He could give a fuck about what really concerns the people that make sure that HE has food on the table and that HIS bills are paid.

When the towers fell on 911 I was living in San Antonio, TX.
I was at work in a hot-ass H-E-B grocery chain warehouse. I was busy completing an order that had to be delivered to a store on the East side of the city when one of my co-workers ran up to me and told me we had been attacked by Muslims. I thought he was full of shit and I continued getting my order ready because I was on a time schedule. The guy insisted that I stop what I was doing and head to the break-room to see for myself. I told him that I would as soon as I dropped my order off on the dock. I finished my order and lo and behold, my dude was right. We were attacked. And the perpetrators were Muslim.

Now I admit after the towers fell, for a while I was leery of anybody that looked Arab. They made me nervous. In fact a couple of nights after the towers fell I went to one of my night spots I used to frequent while I lived in that hell-hole of a city and there were some Muslim looking cats in the club. I must have stood in the corner and watched them for about 2 hours.

Yep I said it.

But that feeling of uneasiness only lasted until the shock of the attack passed. I knew that not all Muslims were terrorists; I know a little about the Koran from earlier studies and I knew that the cowards that killed close to 3000 of my fellow Americans were doomed to an eternity in Hell. I knew that Islam does not condone that type of behavior and that the majority of Muslims are peaceful people. For anybody to look at the actions of one group of people and then condemn the whole group is ignorant.

Besides I also knew from being Black in AmeriKKKa, how it felt(feels) to be judged solely on the way I look(ed).

If you want to get technical about it, Christianity could be demonized just as much as Islam is.
Do not the biggest terrorists in America, the "white pride" organizations all identify themselves as Christians?
Are not the most bigoted and ignorant people in this nation of tolerance, all Christian?

In my opinion Christianity has done more harm to the world as we know it than Islam has.
No Islamic country has ever invaded another country on the guise of bringing democracy to it.
I have never seen a Muslim going around disturbing people on early Saturday mornings with good tidings from Allah. But I have had to tell the Latter Day Saints, some Jehovah Witnesses and a couple of others to get the hell off my lawn.

In certain ways I agree with what that slave catcher Juan Williams said on O'liely's show.
But the way he said it was wrong. He condemned a whole sect of people on the actions of one tiny group.
And what makes what he said even more ignorant, none of the 911 hijackers were dressed in the typical Muslim garb. They were dressed like Americans.

I have admitted that 9 years ago, for about 2 or 3 seconds, seeing someone that looked Arab made me nervous. But that only lasted until the sting from getting bitch slapped wore off.

What the hell is this house nigga's excuse?

If O'liely would have told him that seeing a group of Black men walking toward him on a dark night made him nervous, how would he have reacted? Even though he knew no group of Black men has ever threatened or accosted him in any way? Would he have agreed with him, or would he called dude out for being the racist he is?

I do not think the dude should have lost his gig, because this is supposed to be the land of free speech; and he was not on NPR's clock or air-waves when he stuck his foot in his mouth, but what he said was ignorant and ill timed.

By him being such an "educated and enlightened" man, he should have known better.

I went and early voted yesterday.

In my opinion elections like this are more important than the election every four years for the president simply because voters don't choose the President, the electoral college does. This was proven during the 2000 elections with Jr. and Gore. Elections like these are the only time that the American people actually have a voice in how their government represents them.

I am not a registered Dumocrat or Rethuglican.

I think that both parties are full of shit and I do not think that the average Politrickster could give a hot damn about the people that hire them. Polittricks is all about power. I do not think that Politricksters even care about money, since the average candidate is already rich before they even consider running. Money is just a bonus.

I do not agree with a whole lot of stuff that comes out of most celebrities mouths, but I do have to agree with Lebron James about race being a factor in how he was perceived after his whole dissing the city of Cleveland on world wide TV.

I don't think race was a major factor in the hostility he has been shown from the people in the dying city he chose to leave; they were just upset that the only reason that people were coming to the "mistake by the lake," was leaving them high and dry. I mean let's be real.....Nobody but Nobody that lives outside the city limits of Cleveland gives a fuck about Cleveland. I would bet my next 3 paychecks that you will not find a Cleveland fan of any sports team in Cleveland that is not from Cleveland or from some surburb of Cleveland. What the fuck is in Cleveland, but abandoned warehouses, a river that was so polluted it actually caught on fire, and crack dealers?
So the hostility and hate he is receiving from his "fans" in Cleveland was genuine. Lebron WAS Cleveland and the "fans" up there know it.

I was not going to write about Eddie "Long-stoking" Long and technically this is not going to be about him.
Even though I must say that the recent "shocking" revelations that have been in the media for the past week about the Bishops' allegedly sexual explotation of several young men in his flock......Was not so shocking to me.

I have kin-folk that live in the ATL that used to attend the Bishop's show faithfully every Sunday and 3 more days of the week.

There have been rumors of what this dude was doing floating around ATL for years.
YEARS people!

It was only a matter of time before he pissed one of his boy-toys off and their "unwanted" affair was posted on u-tube. I mean come on people, think about it for a hot minute....
How come while the trips,cars,jewelry and clothes that Bishop Longstroke was "supposedly" doling out on the regular was being doled out on the regular,nothing was said? How come when college tuition was being paid and expensive dinners were being ate, mouths were shut? Well maybe mouths were not shut, but no complaints were being issued from the mouths that were open. Or maybe the mouths could not say anything because they were full of the Bishop's longness?

The way I see it is the BOYS turned into MEN and the Bishop likes his meat young, so there lies the problem, and the BOYS didn't like it, so now all of a sudden the Bishop took advantage of them.

For all the faithful readers of this here way of sharing my thoughts to anyone that wants to read them;this is old news for you.

I am in the United States Army. I have been for 12 years. 10 years active duty and the last 2 in the reserves.
I love the military and it took me getting out to realize it. The military saved my life quite literally. If I had not joined the Army right after high school, I know where I would have ended up. Jail or dead. I say this because I was fascinated with the "thug-life". I was in love with the streets. As a matter of fact about a year before I joined the Army, I was asked by a school counselor what I wanted to be as an adult. I replied without blinking an eye, "The biggest drug dealer in the city." Those were my ambitions. That's what I really wanted as a career.
Slanging rocks in my city.
Looking back on that, I realize how young and stupid I was. Looking back on my youth I realize how fortunate and blessed I have been. Most of the cats I grew up with that stayed in the streets, ended up exactly how I would have; locked up in a cage or locked up in a box six feet below the earth. Some of us matured enough to realize how dumb we were, and we are leading happy, productive and honest lives, but "some" does not account for many.

So when I say the Army saved my life, I mean that shit.
I take the military life very seriously. I for one would like to see a law that would mandate military service for all kids right after high school.
2 years.
After 2 years they would have the choice to stay or go, but either way they would have the discipline needed to accomplish whatever they wanted to accomplish.

But that is just my opinion.

Congress or should I say Rethuglicans just voted to leave "Don't ask Don't tell" in tact.

I think that this was dumb.
Gay men and women have served in the military since this country had a military.
I personally could give a shit what a man or a woman chooses to do in their personal lives. It does not matter to me if a dude in my unit likes dudes or if a woman cuts for women. I mean why should it? How does a person's sexual choice affect how I do my job? How I live my life?

Everyone in the Army has known a soldier that was Gay or a soldier that they suspected of being Gay.

Did it stop the mission?
Uhhhhhh....
No.
Did it affect unit cohesion?
No.

So what is the big deal?
Why all the opposition?

In my opinion this is a pure cut example of discrimination. If a person was kicked out of the military for being Black, Hispanic or bald, there would be hell to pay.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not comparing what Gay people are going through to what Blacks and Hispanics are going through on a daily basis.
There is no comparison.
Black people paved the road with blood that Gay people and Hispanics are marching on now. So there is no comparison.

But I still think it is wrong to discriminate against someone just because you disagree with who they go home to at night.
I do not understand how a man can be attracted to and be in love with another man. The same goes with women.
I do not understand how a man can be sexually attracted to another man. To me it just don't make sense.
But that is me.
Gay people deserve to be treated with the same respect that I have been blessed to receive.
Just because I don't understand it and I cannot see living my life like that, does not give me the right to disrespect their right to live how they want to live.

I just wish those same fake, homophobic, hypocritical, hiding in the closet politicians would see the world as I see it and stop trying to tell people how they should live when most of them do not live how they want others to.

While I was in PA a couple of weeks ago, a buddy and I decided to go to Scranton one night after classes to see what was popping there.

We went to an Italian restaurant before we went out to the clubs around downtown, just because you can't go to Scranton and not go to an Italian restaurant. Anyways, the food was outstanding and afterward we hit the streets to see what we could see.

My partner is an ese (Mexican guy for all you politically correct Queens English speakers) from LA. This is one cool dude. He will go up to anybody and start a conversation about anything. Oh and speaking of Mexicans,this is totally off the subject; but I have to say this and if it is wrong for me to even notice this....Oh well sue me.....
I did not see one Hispanic dude doing construction the whole time I was up there. The only people up on roofs and putting up drywall (that I noticed anyway) were White Folks and Black folks. I have not seen that shit in years. I guess I have been down here in Tejas to damn long....
Anyways....

Like I said my homie will go up to anybody and just start talking. We noticed a dude that appeared to be about our age walking towards us with two chicks. So my man stops them and tells them that we are visiting Scranton and we wanted to know where the haps was.

Well after we stopped them we noticed that the dude was obviously Gay. And after about 20 seconds of conversation we found out that the two chicks were strippers. Well we talked to them for a minute or two and got directions to a couple of clubs in the area and we got free passes to the club were the two chicks "danced" at.

Well since neither me or my man really dig shake joints, we told them we would pass on the passes. The girls looked kinda of disappointed with this, but it is what it is. The Gay guy told us about an after party after the shake joint closes and he told us he would call us when they were on their way there. At first my man and I looked kinda crazy at the dude because we knew this guy liked the opposite of what we liked and we were kinda skeptical about going to an after party were he was going. We did not want to be the main course of the night, you feel me? But I guess he could read our minds because he told us that there was going to be a lot of hot chicks there and he would not invite us to a place where he thought we would feel uncomfortable.

We agreed, my man gave the dude his cell and we parted ways.
We went to a hip-hop spot that was much to young for us (I swear we could have had kids up in there)and watched the kiddies get low. We stayed for about an hour and decided to call it a night.
We are getting old and can't do the shit we used to do.

On our way back to Tobyhanna we get a call from the "dude".
He asked us if we were still going out and we told him we had decided to take it on in for the night.
He sounded disappointed;he told us that most of the shakers from the club were going to be there and that the two he was with earlier had told them all about the two "fine" Army dudes from out of town.

It sounded tempting for about 10 seconds; until a vision of our families popped in our minds.
We told the "dude" we appreciate the invite, but we were taking it on in.

Well in case you are wondering what the hell all of this is about......
The point of this little narrative is this.....

A Gay dude is worth his weight in gold to a single straight man. I mean think about it for a minute.....
Gay dudes always hang with FINE ass FINE Eva Mendez looking single ladies.
Most of the ladies are either looking for Mr Right or Mr. Right Now. Either way, for a single straight man, it is like a being a kid in a candy store.
And your Gay friend always tells his girlfriends about his "fine" straight friend, which is an automatic in; because if a straight dude is friends with a Gay dude; to a female he is in tune with his "sensitive" side which is definitely a plus on any day that ends with "day". And if a Gay dude says you are "fine," then to a woman you are the equivalent of Denzel, Brad Pitt and Idris Elba all rolled up into one package. Which is another plus on any day that ends in "day".

So in my humble opinion every straight guy needs a Gay friend.

Just because I like to wear classic rock band t-shirts, Chuck Taylor sneakers, well worn, (or new, but looks well worn) jeans that fit, (I have no desire to look like an ex-con), I am not Black enough?

Just because I can talk without using Ebonics whenever I feel the need to, I am not "hood" enough?
Because I choose to listen to rock music I am a sellout?
Because I choose not to eat fried foods with sweet ass sweet sweet ass Iced Tea at every meal I am "uppity"?
Because I do not frequent the neighborhood Mega Church and I do not treat the Preacher of said mega church like he was with Moses when he parted the Red Sea, I am going to hell?

Because I refuse to blame White People for everything that is fucked up with Black People, I know that Black People are 75% of the blame for everything that is fucked up with Black People, I am not Black enough?

I can go on and on about how just because I choose to think and I refuse to follow anybodies lead but mine, because I question shit that most of my Black brothers and sisters have come to accept as the very word of God and because I am not ashamed to be me instead of what AmeriKKKa has told the world I am, I am considered as "different" from the rest.
